Can't wait..I'm getting a Ps3 in 2 weeks and this is the first game I'm getting. I've honestly been following this game since I was like 9 or 10...Best game series I've ever played.

they do kind of set it up for raiden to be snakes successor ...oh and he is not a homo this time he is probably the most bad ass character in part 4 i dunno if you wanna see any spoilers but if you look up in youtube they have the vamp vs raiden fight and its fucking sick

Thats good to hear. I honestly like Raiden..I thought he was annoying at first but as the 2nd game progressed he grew on me and he has an interesting background.

I'll tell you there is alot more watching in this game then there is playing. For fuck sakes, there's a 90 minute long cut scene. Oh, and I thought the multiplayer was trash. I'd much rather play COD4 multiplayer. The game looked graphically amazing, and was pretty fun to play, just wish there was more playing and less watching, shit if I wanted to watch something 90 minutes long I'd rent a goddamn movie.

Picked up the game on Sat. Real good game. I haven't played any of the predecessors. There are a ton of cut scenes.

Good shit though. Much better than GTA IV, which was no different than any of the other 3.

Meth, I'd advice you to play through the first 3 Metal Gear Solids..the story of 4 is a continuation of the 2nd game. The story is epic and playing the first 3 games makes the MGS 4 experience all that much better.

Rusty - Yeah, the game got REAL OLD...or perhaps, FAMILIAR, about an 1/2hour into it. I'm not trying to hate on it. If it was the shit, I'd gladly admit it....but it was just like all the others. Just kind of beat.

At least pick up Metal Gear Solid on the original playstation. Still one of the best games of all-time. The backstory, villains, and voice-acting are still the best-to-date, in my opinion. The other Metal Gears are all superior in gameplay, but not in story or emotional investment / impact.
