You see his face? He was pissed off man, he takes his interviews very seriously. I mean can you picture Steve Farhood, Sean O'Grady or Jim Gray doing that? Maybe Teddy Atlas would but as far as other commentators pushing off a drunk and risk getting into a tussle, only Merchant is game.

Sean O'Grady would probably be game since he was a former fighter but he seems much more of a even keeled kind of guy as opposed to Larry, then again he is Irish so I don't know...

Yeah maybe if O'Grady was drunk he would. But like you said, he seems like a laid back dude. Teddy Atlas might but with age he has turned into the old wise man who realizes violence is not the answer but could still kick your ass. Merchan on the other hand is like the old man who keeps getting drunk and is not afraid to take on anyone.
