Does anyone know if Barrett-Haye is being broadcast anywhere in America or on the internet?

I really want to see this fight and I would have thought that it was in Haye's best interest to get this fight televised in the US at virtually any cost. He's got some momentum here and he's squandering it. I want to know if Haye can take a hw punch. And I want to know if he can land a HW punch.

I've always thought Barrett was an underachiever and underrated. If Haye can get the ko, he'll have a legitimate argument for getting serious contender-types of fights.
BigG
Haye has fought at HW before and he brought up his power...his opponent was a stiff of course.
Maxy
I'm pretty convinced that Haye can bring his power up to heavyweight. His lone win there, albeit, against a nobody (Tomasz Bonin 40/0/2 22KO's) is our only guide at the minute but we'll find out a little more this Saturday night.

Haye definitely doesn't have the best of chins though so how he'll fare at heavyweight is anyone guess.

I think you'll be able to find a stream for it come Saturday if it isn't being shown in America.
JonnyBlaze
Barrett has been hittin harder lately in my opinion and quite possibly could KO Haye..I'm not sure who I pick in this fight though..

What are the odds on this fight? Whats the odds for a Barrett KO?

Sportsbook.com doesn't have any odds for the fight, but there was a post here somewhere that had Barrett at +400 to win, which I thought were great odds. Barrett's a solid hw when he's serious.

Haye is going to bomb Barrett out of there real early.

Maybe so... but if the odds are good I might lay a few down on Barrett

I think Barrett will be up for this fight.

Nothing like wrecking a prospects chances.....especially when that person is an ex-cruiser weight champ.....from Britain of all places. I know how you Americans hate us laugh.gif

I think Haye will take Barrett out. He has tremendous speed and his power is amazing. I think he'll catch Barrett in round 4 for the KO win.

Wasn't Barrett just KO'd in his last fight? Seriously not sure. I just would not trust Monte, especially with Haye who I like alot. He is fast and powerful and seems very passionate with his craft. But with heavyweights all it takes is one good punch, and I guess Haye has been stopped before, though I did not see it. If you do decide to throw away your money, I will give you my address and you can just send it to me instead grin.gif . If Barrett does win, you can throw it back in my face.

Also, nice picture of RJ, thats what should have been seen after the gold medal match.

I think Haye gets him. Should he do so, he'll have more of an argument to want to fight W. Klit

By KO or decision do ya think??

Barrett is on a KO spree..His last 3 fights have gone only 5 rounds all together..This should be a good fight though..Both Monte and Haye are both smaller heavyweights soo I expect some good stuff..I wish more heavyweights were around their size..

I don't know why anyone is giving Barrett anything more than a punchers chance. He has never really beaten anyone good.
King Eugene
One thing I think we can all garuntee is that it will be a slugfest for atleast the first 5 rounds. I'd like to see how Haye's chin would hold up if he got caught with something big early. He's still my pick though, possible late round stoppage.

Mormeck? Maccarinelli?

It was at Crusier weight, but they're decent fighters. Maccarinelli hits like a heavyweight too. Plus, it's not like Barrett is a massive heavyweight.

Haye has a dang good chance. I'd say 60/40

Barett is a spoiler. He's already ruined the plans of Guinn, Beck and Fields. We know now that those guys weren't the shit but the point is that he tests you and he's a good mark to see how Haye performs.
D-MARV
I dont agree! Let say Haye KOs within 3... Big deal! Cliff Couser KO'd him in 2... This is Risky fight for Haye! If he doesn't "DOMINATE" this guy this will be a bad look for him! But I guess there wren't alot of Heavies open for this fight!

Haye is very quick for a big man. I'll take his speed.

Barett is a good solid name for 1st up. He was never going to get a title shot straight away and Monte is not the biggest guy out there but credible enough that a win should boost Haye's profile.

I hope Haye suceeds because I think the division needs him. He polarises fans, some like him, some hate him but at least it means the fans are talking about him. If he can make a little noise in the division hopefully people will start tuning in to either see him win or have his block knocked off. IF he can stitch a couple of wins together then a fight with either Klit might bring some genuine excitement back to a faded division.

This, my friend, is very true!

Just caught the Haye-Mormeck fight for the first time last night. Not a bad little fight, it was close up until the stoppage, but I liked what I saw from Mormeck a bit more in that fight and he was getting to Haye, but he got caught by a fucking great combination, but that's boxing and it happens. Haye has some devastating power, and he has some good offensive skills.
I'm not saying the guy is a joke or anything, but from what I have seen of Haye and now moving up to heavyweight, I think he is a knockout weighting to happen. I don't really have a certain type in mind that will do it, but I just look at him as a guy that any heavyweight will be able to catch at some point. He gets hit cleanly a little too often, but on the other side of the coin, he has speed and power that many of todays heavyweights aren't used to seeing, and like I said he has great offensive skills and can do damage on his own. But just watching him, I think a fan of his would always be nervous. I just think he is a KO waiting to happen and it could come from a guy that you least expect it from. But he is exciting, and for him to do well will at least gain some interest back in the heavyweight division, even if it is short lived.
