Does it do anything for LL legacy at all?
Michigan Assassin
Honestly, I'd be shockd shitless if Lennox could get in any sort of shape to fight either of these guys. But if he did I'd give him a good shot at eventually cracking Wlad's china chin. But I think the way Vitali looked in his last fight that if he fights big and uses his jab I'd favor him over LL at this point.

And you gotta guess that Emmanual Steward would be in the corner of Wladimir and I wonder how that would affect Lennox.

As far as Lennox's legacy, if he came back and beat both these guys and throw in Valuev for good measure, then yes his legacy would be increased tenfold.
Especially after being away so long.
STEVENSKI
If he did that he would probably be #1. That is not going to happen so why speculate on it. Unlike so many uneducated boxers Len will never run short of money.

Unless it was chess boxing because Len loves his chess.
D-MARV
I wouldn't put him above Ali but he would most definitely jump up.

I think he would be at least even with Louis & Ali. No heavyweight has managed to come back & beat the two biggest guns in the sport after such a long layoff. Remember the tail end of Ali & Louis's careers?
ROLL DEEP
He would have to be top 3.

To come back at the age he is and beat two monsters in their prime would be pretty impressive.

Better if he beat them both in one night with one hand. Then he'd be #1.
Spyder
He'd break the top ten.

You don't have him in the top 10 now?
Spyder
Nope.

1. Louis
2. Ali
3. Foreman
4. Holmes
5. Marciano
6. Dempsey
7. Joe Frazier
8. Jack Johnson
9. Archie Moore
10. Evander Holyfield
Michigan Assassin
Archie Moore as a top 10 heavyweight is a joke.

He is one of my favorite fighters ever and an all time great, but not at heavy.

He was an absolute monster at Light heavy and may be #1 there, but nottop 10 at heavy.
STEVENSKI
Spyder has a strange list I think.
Spyder
Whatever man, Lennox ain't getting on my list unless he comes back and beats both Klits in the same night...or unless he can turn back time and block Rahman's and McCall's right hands.

I see nothing wrong with putting Tyson on the list! He was greater than Jack Johnson

But at #2? No way in hell. The only other great fighter he beat was Larry Holmes and Holmes was 137 years old when they were matched up.
Spyder
Tyson got beat...in his prime...by James "Buster" Douglas.

At one point he was great, but not all time.

I KNOW it means nothing, but it is funny how you have Holyfield at 8, and he beat your number 2,4, and 5.
BigG
LOL...that was a joke having Tyson at #2...

Tyson at best was in the lower top 10...I'd say 8 at best...13-14 at worst.

Yeah man, back in the 90's Holyfield decisioned Holmes. If my memory serves me correct, after the 12th round Holmes puked after they removed his mouthpiece. How the hell do I remember that? Anyone else remember that?
BigG
Havent seen that fight in sometime but I remember Holmes giving Holy a good fight. Holmes was about 44 too.
D-MARV
Holmes-Holyfield was right before the Bowe trilogy...

I dont remember this fight though.

Memory serves you just fine. As soon as the 12th round ended Holmes turned around, his cornerman took out his mouthpiece and he spewed right there. Projectile vomit at its most graphic.

Larry did give Holy a tough fight. Cut him bad above the eye with an elbow somewhere in the mid rounds. Summer of 92, a few months before the first fight with Bowe.

After watching this fight, I would have to agree. I think Holy would/will always had/have trouble with guys that had reach advantage and a jab. Guys like Lewis, Holmes, and Bowe...

Ali would have beaten Holyfield.

Agree. I used to go to Larry Holmes gym a while back, he was probably around 50yrs old or so. Man he used to whip on all these young guys all the time, I mean he would like toy with guys. He used to spar alot, it was cool to see, and he was almost always atleast running on the t-mill.

Holyfield would of beaten Tyson at any point of his career,so does that make Holy 2??I don't think so and I'm the biggest Holy fan on here..Tyson doesn't belong in the top 10..Archie Moore belongs more than he does in the top 10..

Holmes turned away from Holy at the bell and before he got to his corner, started puking..

Very bias list if ya ask me..I think we all know ya wanted to put Tyson at 1..hahaha..

Tyson is even shorter than Frazier and would make Ali's reach even more a factor if they ever fought..Thought I'd throw that in for ya guys..
