Got mine this morning! I always like to get them early so I can get an end row seat. This pre-sale was for Toyota Center mailing list people only. I suppose I regestered when I got tickets for Diaz/Katsidis.

I think you can do that by going to the Toyota Center website and becoming a member.

This pre-sale will be from 10am today until 7pm Thursday.

If not....regular tickets go on sale 10am Friday.

These are called "flash tickets"....it's a paperless system where you get your tickets the night of the event by bringing the card you bought them with.

I think I'm in section 113, middle rows...seat 1 and 2.

I can only hope this one was as good as that one....I know that the viewers at home only thought it was a so/so show....but seeing it live was spectacular! That Houston home crowd had the TC jumping!

Dude i'm almost broke right now but when it comes to Boxing I spare no expense. It's my guilty pleasure..hahaha I'm in section D row 9. For Diaz/Katsidis I was in I think 115 kind a little further up but not quite at the top.

Yea, the crowd was really into the fights though, especially for the Juarez/Barrios fight, that was one hell of a fight and it stole the show.

I'm also going to the Berto/Collazo fight in Mississippi so I'm pretty pumped about the next couple months.

I can't wait to be ringside for a major fight. I haven't been ringside since Pacquiao/Marquez I, and that was an exciting experience.

I'm sick of Rocky Juarez..He shouldn't be on anymore tv cards..He had his chance quite a few times and never came through..He turned out to be a lot more over rated than everyone thought..I've never been a fan of his..Who else is on the under card??

Yall are some lucky suckas! I'm a get out to Vegas one day and catch one of these fights. I just dont want to pay all that money to still have nose bleeds seats when I would have been better off watching it at home cause I know I cant afford ringside, especially when they be in the $1000's. I might just go out there to Vegas one fight and watch it in the Casino and just party with everybody else after the fight.

LOL funny thing is I didn't know how to put that so I just put before the fight...LOL I was going to say something like we're so close I can spit on you.. Yea I do consider both of these top level fights, Pacquiao/Marquez is obviously looked at as more of a higher level now but back then it was about on this level.

I did meet a couple fighters, I met Kofi Jantuah and he was cool as fuck, we kicked it for about an hour after the fight chilling ringside and watching the Atwan Echols fight(after the Pacquiao fight) and talked about the Pacquiao/Marquez fight and who we thought won, we also just talked boxing in general. He was a real funny and charismatic dude, he was cracking jokes about all kinds of shit.

Before that Pacquiao fight I actually went up to Mayweather while he was sitting down ringside and dapped him off and got him to sign my ticket, James Toney was also there but for some reason he came in real fast and left, bascially in and out for whatever reason.

I also saw the 2004 Olympic team all hanging ringside in between the fights but did not approach them.

Oh and right before the Cotto/Ndou fight my cousin and I jumped up to go to the bathroom but I decided to go to the 2nd level bathroom while my cousin went to the ground level bathroom, so while he's in there taking a piss he looks over and who is it taking a piss right next to him?? Larry fucking Merchant!! hahaha So after they piss my cousin was like "larry, what's up can get a pic with you" and my cousin said he was like "yea but make it quick" I got back to my seat and my cousin told me about it and we were both laughing our asses off.

All of this not even mentioning the fight itself which by the way I had dropped like 20 bucks on 1st round TKO odds at like 20-1 as well as the 2nd and 3rd round which the odds were about 18-1...Another crazy thing too is I was about to put like 30 bucks on a draw which was like 25-30-1 but I looked at my cousin and was like "there's no way this shit ends in a draw"

It was THE coolest fight I have ever been to, without question. Sat next to a whole family of Philipino's that had traveled from the Philipines to watch Pacquiao. Vegas was fun as shit and I am dying to go back. There's probably more shit that I forgot but that was the biggest things that come to mind.

I hear that, there's no way I can afford Paqcuiao ringside these days, i'm to much of a peasant for his status now... but at the time If I remember correctly he was coming off his win with Barrera and even though he was getting lots of recognition he wasn't this huge boxing superstar that he is now, ringside tickets were still 300$ so I jumped on that shit with the quickness, best thing I ever did as you can see from my account above. The secret is just jumping on one of those real good fights where both guys are still slightly under the radar where ticket prices aren't as jacked up..

I always buy the cheaper seats because I always take a chick with me, which means buying 2 tickets....BUT....IF I knew 100% that people from the boards were going to be close....I dump the chick and spend that extra cash on myself to get on the floor.

I have never gone to a fight card by myself...I always enjoy being there with at least one other person.

That's like 4 of us going....if GBP brings another high profile card...we are going to have to plan this better!

Definitely, I'm down with meeting up and chilling or whatever for this fight or any future fights. I usually go with at least one friend and like you If I don't go with someone I throw the extra money on a better seat(ringside if I can) and that is exactly what I did this time. I usually pay for at least two tickets and just take a friend/cousin free of charge but this time I decided to be selfish and buy myself a ringside seat plus I was actually going to see if a somebody from this board or the other board was going, which was more than likely and if so bullshit with them or whatever. Looks like me and Imperius going to be right up on the action.

See, for the Berto/Collazo fight I bought two tickets and will probably take my best friend if he is not working that night, no sense in getting ringside tickets for that one since the venue is so small and the cheapest tickets at the very top are still very close to the ring so I was able to swing that no problem. I might try and get another friend who likes to go to fights to go to that one. I don't expect it to be close to selling out and should be able to find seats right next to/below/above my seats.

bg i was thinking about bringing my girl with me too and going with the cheaper seats but it's looking like she might have to stay and i use her money to go ringside if everybody else will be down there.. i am thinking about getting a room too.. i dont want to have to drive after the fights... i plan to do some drinking while i am there...lol...

The way I see it, boxing matches don't come to Houston that much. The only reason it's in Houston is because of Diaz. I doubt I'll see too many boxing matches outside of Texas, so to me it's worth paying $300 for a floor seat. I'm going solo because none of my friends like boxing and they really wouldn't enjoy or understand what was going on. It's gonna be cool chillin with some of you though. Should be a fun night!

A lot fly under the radar....I remember when they were trying to put a Morrison/Rahman fight together for the Houston market...but that fell thru.

I think we will see more cards as long as the people that go continue to turn out in large numbers and produce an exciting atmosphere.

To be honest TX is a very over looked state as far as bringing big fights....I think TX gets passed on due to an idea of white cowboys not liking boxing....

BUT....TX has such a huge Mexican population it should be a given to promotors how well the sport would do here if given the chance.

I've been to cards in Houston, Corpus Christi, San Antonio and El Paso.....and everyone had high attendence, even the smaller cards with no real huge names.

I think Diaz/Katsidis really opened the eyes of the business heads at GBP.....that's why we are seeing such a quick turn around with another impressive card.

I think it does help that Diaz and Juarez are from here....but I don't think that is the sole reason.

I know for a fact that GBP and Top Rank are looking at local fighters to possibly start stables here. We have a very impressive Cruiserweight Golden Glove State Champion named Terrance Woods that is being taken a closer look at by a few very large promotions.

So I think TX is starting to really be considered more than it once was.

i was at the fights the night diaz beat lakva sim for the title and the reliant center was packed... the hispanics back diaz in houston... as long as he is on top of his game there will always be a market for him to bring major fight cards to houston... they support raul marquez too.. i rememebr that night him an his wife/girlfriend who ever she is walked in and the crowd went crazy... you woulda thought tyson or someone walked in... If Chris Henry can win himself a belt he might become a draw in houston too.. Henry is from my hometown but he fights out of the savanah gym in houston... there are plenty of fight fans in texas... fights used to come to houston a lot more often back in the days... ali used to fight at the astrodome...

I dont know where you guys are from that will be at the fight but if you live in or around houston and like going to the fights you might wanna try lake charles lousiana... there are always good solid fights going on out there and some times you see a name thats fighting a tomato can.. but they are fun to be at... they are either at the boats or at the kashada indian reservation in kinder la...

I might get a room myself(Sat night) since I do have a 3 hour drive back, I would hate to have to drive back that same night.
