Watched the Haye-Ruiz fight couple nights back & felt Haye put on a good show against an aging Ruiz with the first KD being a good one. I think Haye spoke a lot of sense in the post fight interview & did not come across as much of a prick like I thought he would have. I think Haye looks good as a heavyweight but will get beat by either brothers as I don't see anyone really posing a threat as they are that much ahead of the rest.

Well, I agree that the contract was bullshit and I said that repeatedly here. That said, they didn't "force" anything on him. HE AGREED TO IT! He signed the contract to face Wlad, and then pulled out with his back injury.

Then when going up against vitali he had agreed to the same damn contract, and then pulled out and went and fought Valuev.

For me, all this does is add credence to Haye's decision not to fight Wlad a while back (pull out, get injured, whatever).

The problem there is that they run the risk of him losing...or the buzz for this fight losing steam if Haye fights a couple no-hopers.. He bailed on two contracts already, talked enormous shit, and now Wlad has publicly called him a pussy...and no response. While you certainly want to maximize your return, you also have to strike while the iron is hot - and it probably is not going to get much hotter, especially if Haye goes and gets clipped against a guy like Arreola or Adamek.

But like I said, I think Haye is scared and GBP is trying to protect their investment for now.
