As most know i felt cheated that hbo cut this fight from its triple header broadcast and made the telecast a doubleheader that night and i was really pumped for this particular fight... i happened to come across this and figured id share it...

3 str8 right hands, damn. Spinks needs to retire.

That wasn't that bad of a stoppage either. He took 3 hard right hands, and his entire head was snapping back. He went down and got up on wobbely legs. Mark Nelson did a decent job here, and saved him from punishment. I don't know if Spinks needs to retire, but he definitely needs to be A LOT more active if he wants to stay sharp and be competitive with some of these fighters. If he can't do that, then yes, it's time to retire.
