That was a war two of the all time greats at the lower weight classes. Those fights really paved the way for the lower weight class fighter that came after like Tapia, Romero, Johnson, Arce, Donaire etc etc.

I was a huge fan of Carbajal the guy fought like a little prime Felix Trinidad tall and rangy(for his weight)and carried lethal power in either fist. Gozalez was a bad ass aswell both of these guys are well deserved of there spot in the HOF.

It was the first time anyone in the lower weight calsses made 1 mill in a single fight.

Yes that was the first time for a lower weight fighter to score a million over a fight. But those were two very special fighters. With the exception of Nonito and Montiel who just fought there aren't really any special fighters in those weight classes atleast not special enough to command that kind of money.
