The hate-filled rants of recent months on FH (big up) have seemed to vaporize so suddenly. Does anyone have any valid reason for the sudden silence? I'm just wondering. I have been an alleged 'keybord warrior', 'flomo', and whatever else I can think of, yet I'm shocked by the sudden lack of silence by those who have once spoken so loud. Do tell what the problem is that has constricted the Pac-Wagon.
FightHypeRules
Well there's been an influx of new posters on here, that could account for the sudden jump in Floyd/Pac threads. I've been on many forums and most are just unbearable because there's no sense of order there. You just post a thread, no matter if there's five or six threads about THE EXACT SAME THING YOU ARE POSTING right there at the top, and I think many are coming from those boards, and are used to that type of thing.

Plus seeing as how there are no commenting allowed on just about any Floyd related article on the main page, perhaps it's bleeding over into the forum? I don't know.

EDIT: nevermind, I seemed to have misread your post.

Bro most of this shit especially on Floyd and Pacman has been beat to death and for the most part goes down party lines like some GOP vs Democrat bull shit! look @ the archives man, but the boards were very slow til the after dark free shirt thing. LMFAO @ the Pac-wagon when y'all are taking nuts to the chin like Rock Hudson in a gay porno bro...not sure where you are coming from unless it's that tiger beat copy of Floyd but it's a reverse Pactard thing from what I see!
gravytrain
i don't think there's anyone on here that's really all about Pac. not that i can think of anyway. it's just that after the Mayweather After Dark videos a lot of people joined just to talk about Pac vs Mayweather related shit that's 2 years old and nobody really cares about it.

That word Flomo bothers me
you see it started over on youtube by racist filipino die hard pacquiao fans!
I try not to call people pactards an whatever else, i prefer die hard fan with lack of information which leads to lack of knowledge.

You see most black guys I know loved Manny, then after manny turned down a test people shared their concern on youtube. Whoa an behold the Die hard pac fans didn't take kind to this an came out the works with all sorts of racist names. Then Flomo came to existence

It's funny because i hear all te time when I lived in Hawaii
i use to hear I'm Filipino so I support Pacquiao
but
If a black man supports Floyd he's a Flomo or blah blah
I like an follow who I like, race is old to me...but this is a clear cut race issue
An I believe Flomo is used as a undercover N***** lover word an I hate that word so I don't use it.
You Pactard can also be a racist word, but "I" don't think it is
Like I said earlier I think it's more of a die hard Pacquiao only Fan who lacks correct information an started following boxing in '08 Pac vs DLH
Either way I use neither word

Maybe off topic but I used your thread to discuss my thoughts on Flomo

Which I truly feel its a word for BLACK FANS who follow Floyd
An so what IF you have guys who follow Floyd cause he's black
just like so what if you have guys who follows pacquiao cause he's filipino

BoxingFan86
I've been called a Pactard and Flomo in the same day, so what does that tell you?

I don't like either of those names, and I think (as I've said before) that it shows a lack of class and lack of intelligence when people have to revert to those words, simply to dismiss someone's opinions.

"oh he's a Flomo so you know how HE is" or whatever.

It's pathetic and childish.

Well hi Ken, I am a cracker ass cracker...dude you have some knowledge of boxing but to post that one video, meas(whatever)boxing and to call it all FACTS ARE CRAZY my man and everyone knows what Mr Opal thinks! lol! Pacman turning down the test instead of saying fuck you asshole, when I was @ 126 on fight night I was 139ish...address that with/for me cause that shit ain't that far off bro! Sure if you say he went from 130 to 147 in 2 years it's only half true!

Now @ 147 and even the worthless 154 bullshit belt, that he'd be better off fight Berto for Floyd's favor belt and str8 call Floyd out, call him a bitch and a pussy and Floyd would bite! But address what I just said, I ain't a Pactard so talk to me bro!!!! Sorry if I have typos but yesterday was my birthday and I am drinking tonight!

Like most guys on here, my first love is Boxing. Period. I don't care much about any one boxer, pro or con. Having said that, I would like to see the Fight of the Century--like all the world does. And it seems to me that Floyd is the guy who is balking at getting into the ring with Pacquiao. I say that because NO ONE else has any problems fighting Pacquiao under the existing rules. Not Morales, not De La Hoya, not Cotto, not Marquez--not anybody. Except Floyd.

Never mind that Pac has never failed a test. Has always pissed clean... says he'll take whatever test Floyd wants, etc. For some reason, Floyd just won't do it. I think the below cartoon sums it up for me. So no, I don't hate Floyd. I just see him as the one holding up the show that I and the world want to see. Otherwise, I fully recognize and respect his greatness. It's not personal.

Morales, Barerra, Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margo, Shane, Marquez:

It ain't that big of a deal homie, there are many pactards out there and FMJ nut mites...fuck them if you ain't and do what you do which is try to back your shit with some facts, not a Mr Opal video and say see these are all facts! You know homie?
FightHypeRules
my main issue with it is that it's basically homophobia that is pervasive among fans of virtually all sports. "Flomo" is an attack on someone who is a supporter of Floyd, and because they have an opinion different than you, suddenly they're someone who's obviously in love with Floyd.

Same goes for "juggling balls" and all this other pathetic weak shit. People who are insecure about their sexuality, have to constantly attack someone else for their perceived sexual identity. Perhaps some people are insecure about their opinions and so they feel the need to denigrate another man's opinion by lumping them in with a group of people who they view as weak.

The Pactard thing is pretty much the same thing, only using the derogatory phrase "retard" which many people who have a shred of integrity of conscience also finds despicable.

It's the state of "fans" today that the level of discourse has plummeted so far that no one can have a conversation anymore without the namecalling.

And as has been said before, once you resort to names, you've immediately lost the argument. Otherwise you wouldn't need to refer to someone as names. You could rely on your "Well reasoned" arguments.

it's some pretty shitty ducking on Mayweather's part if you ask me. it's not like the fight didn't happen 2 years ago because of testing Pac now says he'll agree to. actually he's saying he'll agree to more than what he originally would have had to do 2 years ago.

i don't think anyone looking at this without feelings for Pac or Floyd can see anything but dollar signs. Mayweather and Pac/Arum make more money putting the fight off and can make 30-40 million against other opponents until they do fight.

Funny you bring up the name-calling. I've only heard it here from veteran members of this board. I've been called a lot of names in the short time I've been here---but not by the new guys. Only the vets--the same guys you would think would be most interested in upholding the integrity of this board--especially when interacting with new members. ESPN is the only other place I know of where Flomo/Pactard is routinely spoken.

Name a message board pertaining to Boxing that does NOT have all these people using those phrases. I'll wait.

The Scene's board does that, ESB does that, there's a few others I've been on that do that as well. It's everywhere now. Don't act like this is the only place besides ESPN that does it.

I think it's because people can't log in anonymously over there anymore, and their side is looking worse and worse...

In the end...many fanatical "Disciples" have been spawned over this May-Pac situation, and I don't think that's a good thing......forget Holmes-Cooney....if these two ever fight, I have a bad feeling people are literally going to die because of their amateur hating or superfan ways...

As far as negative labels....I say "be true to yourself" and "if the shoe fits".

I miss my friends! I used to look forward to the response I used to get from those guys when I pulled the rug from under them. Anytime I'd hit them with a valid point, they resort to childish antics. I laughed so hard anytime someone would express their disdain for myself and the fighter I support. I'm just wondering where'd all the love go? Does it have anything to do with a certain announcement that was made on twitter? Could it be that the members of the pac-wagon have found Floyd's latest quest to be respectable? More respectable than anything Manny Pacquaio has done over the last 3 years. What's everyone going to say when Floyd Mayweather owns Victor Ortiz? What will they say if Manny has a rough night in Vegas with a fighter that has his number, while Floyd impresses us once again with a masterful performance? We can pretty much get an idea. Don't let Manny lie to you guys. If Floyd Mayweather KO's Victor Ortiz, Manny Pacquiao's team will find another reason to pick a fight with someone that has come off of a loss. Fight Hype comment boards used to be so full of elegant and highy intelligent sayings like: 'Gayweather's so afraid of Manny Pacquiao, that he wants to put himself in prison to avoid the fight'. I just want to see the May-Haters and Pac-Lovers chiming in again. The silence is killing me. Oh well, all's well that ends well. Manny's got his hands full with his upcoming opponent. So does Floyd. He will beat Ortiz and Manny will still ask for a 14 day cut-off. He knows that won't fly with Floyd. The question is, what if it does? We know that if Manny finds another way out, he never wanted to fight Floyd in the first place.

Because I changed the requirements for commenting. It used to be anyone could post a comment, but the comments were getting way out of line and we simply don't have the staff to monitor the foul language and racism. Now, you have to login to make a comment, which has cut down on the number of childish and racist posts.

That's good, but not so good. If the guys that support Manny Pacquiao can only post racially charged and homophobic comments, then they make themselves look bad. They make themselves look worse than the guy they hate so much. I never really paid too much mind to that kind of talk. I mostly always responded with intelligence and fact-based remarks. I think it's great that we don't have to deal with that, but I kind of enjoyed the challenge of attacking the most stubborn souls.
