LOL! Don't need to get your butt all hurt:)
I visit Fighthype everyday for the last 3 years I've just noticed that every Mayweather article where he is inteviewed is closed off. I may not post of the forums and much as others but I do visit the site everyday to read your articles. I found it amusing that others started calling it Floyd Hype and every article that is based on Floyd and his Father even though there able to talk there shit and express there fowl mouth opinions on Manny Pacquiao you protect them from backlash.
and I for one never commented calling Floyd Mayweather one of his many monikers made by the public, I've always been respectful, I'm sorry not everyone is.
My butts not hurt at all

HOWEVER, I absolutely DO have to spell it out with MULTIPLE examples for people like the person I just replied to, Extant, who seems to think there are James Toney articles with 20+ pages worth of racist comments. Apparently, I'm going to have to find examples of James Toney articles now because someone thinks that those articles are full of comments with racist remarks.
SERIOUSLY, some of you REALLY need to do some research before you start making such general assumptions.
And YES, every interview with Mayweather has ABSOLUTELY been closed off for comments because we saw how bad it was when we used to leave comments open for Mayweather Sr. interviews (if you've TRULY visited FightHype every day for the last 3 years, then you would know that we used to leave comments on for all of those until it started to get way out of hand). Now, if Mayweather Sr. brings out that kind of racist hatred in people, I can only imagine what interview with Lil Floyd is going to do.
And for the record, like I just said, but you failed to mention, IT'S NOT JUST MAYWEATHER INTERVIEWS...it's also MANNY PACQUIAO INTERVIEWS, or ALEX ARIZA INTERVIEWS, or FREDDIE ROACH INTERVIEWS, or pretty much ANYONE THAT'S AFFILIATED WITH MAYWEATHER VS. PACQUIAO.
Of course, like I said, for the most part, that's just interviews. Feel free to leave as many nasty comments on any press releases or any articles that still have commenting on.

And just out of curiosity, how the hell are we "protecting" them from backlash? You actually think they're sitting around reading your comments and getting their feelings hurt?

The ONLY thing I'm protecting is my Inbox from pissed off people who say we allow racism on the site. That's about it. But as far as "protecting" the Mayweathers? I'm sorry, but I find that so very laughable. I guess I was "protecting" Alex Ariza too, as well as Manny Pacquiao, when we decided to leave commenting off of those interviews. LOL. Geesh!
