What's up Fight Fans.. Going to use the forum to voice my opinion... Thanks in advance..

I'm an average dude with a middle class salary, working 6 days a week. So when word got out about Mayweather/Ortiz tickets going on sale today @ 1pm EST. I was pumped up, I dont mind paying the $150 or $300 tag per ticket to see a fight.

I had 5 people on ticketmaster and on the phone with ticketmaster trying to help me score tickets.. The second the clock hit 1pm EST. ALL TICKETS WERE SOLD OUT. Now this isnt the 1st time this happened, Ive been trying to attent the last several Pac or Floyd Fights and the same shit happens.

Why do they even say that tickets go on sale to General Public, when they know. No such tickets are available. I know the Casino and the sponsors need there share, but when you keep on having events that normal people cant attend its just fucked up.

I really wish there was a legit was to get tickets in the sport of boxing.

Thanks for listening...

Good point. It's all bullshit man. The average guy rarely gets the chance for good tickets, most of the good stuff is given away to corporate fat cats, or high rollers at the casinos, or to the fighters to hand out.

It's a sham.

I think it had to go down like this for marketing remember they have to fill up some Movie theaters for this fight too!
Box in Hand
They have some on Ebay but dude them prices are SKY HIGH! Unless you're a high roller there isn't a chance.
Get0ffdanutzz
Yes, Ebay, Stubhub all have tickets selling for 200% higher, that's not the point.

The good thing is you do have options.. Instead of paying the $55 MGM Properties charge to watch their figh on closed circuit the Movie Theater option is interesting. Wondering if the United Artist Theater right on the stip will sell tickets,

Doubt it but I do like the alt options they are offering... We'll see if it actually happens though...
Sicko
Tickets to Mayweather fights never last long though, now you have to spend more by ordering from some 3rd Party Seller lol

Man people will be scamming the fuck out of alot of people and the prices would be huge. I will do whatever it takes to get tickets to that fight.

I'm planning on buying tix for the Marquez-Pac fight has anyone had to deal with this same problem for Pac fights?? I'd imagine it'd be rough what with all the diehard flips but it'd be my first time in vegas for a fiht so i wanna know what i need to do to ensure a pair of tix
gravytrain
do whatever you can to get on ticketmaster right when they go on sale lol. if not you'll be looking at overpaying for the tickets or having to get the $1,000 tickets.

i love going to the fights... but even the big fights ive gone to ive still dvr'd them... to me its better watching the fights on the television than being there live.. just my opinion... but you cant beat that live experience of being around the different people and the live roar of the crowd and the celebs you get to bump shoulders with and meet and etc... but in my opinion just for the comfort and all out quality i prefer the tv... just my opinion...

Of course they couldn't sell that shit out.

Not enough tickets for a reason in The Golden Shitter.

How you been JLUV? I might make the FMJ v Ortiz fight. Any chance?

the thread starter freaked me out and made it seem like tix were impossible to come by haha. Thing with the Pac-Clottey fight, was that it was at cowboys stadium. the stadium is probably 7x the size of hte MGM grand so i'd imagine itd be alot easier to get tix. hv u been to vegas for any fights Jluv???

I saw Cotto Pacquiao live at the MGM. I got $300 tickets and didn't have any problem purchasing them on ticketmaster the day they went on sale. Pacquiao Marquez you may have to pre-order them because that fight is going to be BIG. Be sure to look out for pre-ordering for that one cause i'm sure those $150 - $300 are gonna go quick!
