I only just found this out. Great trainer George Benton died yesterday, reportedly due to complications from pneumonia. He worked with so many fighters, studied under Eddie Futch and mentored the likes of Roger Bloodworth, Ronnie Shields and Tommy Brooks. A beautiful boxer too who competed in a bloody magnificent middleweight division.
