The prophecy will be fulfilled! Right when I had lost all hope after the Holyfield-Botha debacle, the scriptures have proven to be true! Frans Botha will once again wear the gold, and grace this poor Heavyweight division with some excitement!

This fight is a dream come true for me. I am all teary eyed just thinking about The White Buffalo's arm raised while the belt is strapped around his waist.

Everyone please begin prayer in hopes that Michael Grant will be able to leave the arena without severe injury. I pray for Micheal, he has true heart to step in the ring and face the Man-God. I also pray for all of the haters over the last 10 years who did not believe.

Believe in the Buffalo............ Rest in his Strength.

"Howard Goldberg the president of the World Boxing Federation has announced that South Africaís Francois Botha is scheduled to meet American Michael Grant for the vacant WBF heavyweight belt on November 19 at the Monte Casino near Johannesburg. The tournament will be co-promoted by ShowPony and the Southern Suns Group.

The title became vacant when Evander Holyfield relinquished the WBF belt as he will be challenging Alexander Povetkin for the WBA regular heavyweight belt in December.

The 39-year-old Grant 48-5-3; 29 was stopped by Lennox Lewis in two rounds in April 2000 when challenging for the world heavyweight title and Botha, 43, a former IBF champion received the same treatment from Lewis three months later when he was also stopped in two rounds.

Botha who has been in with some of the best heavyweights around in his long career has a record of 48-5-3-1nc with 28 wins inside the distance."

Okay...there is no way this dude only pops up every time there is any news on Botha. This has to be a regular poster with a different screen name. AND if it is seriously just one guy who just shows up once or twice a year... laugh.gif

Someone needs to post some pics of the Tyson-Botha or Lewis-Botha aftermath.

TWB....my brother in arms! I see you return from the ancient readings having survived yet another journey! Blessed is this day and the news which you have brought the masses!

with this startling revelation the ancient scriptures are now making sense!

"Under a pale grey sky a God shall arise, victorious!
although the dark-skinned Moore was a worthy
challenge for most of the human sort. He was unaware he had befallen
a Man-God.

With this victory as the dawn sets on the year of Our Lord 2 double-ought 11
....a new era begins. As one of the giant Twins is ripped from his brothers bosom
the following year. Thus begins the final battle with the last Ogre twin."

YOU KNOW what this MUST mean!!!

It's so clear! Thank goodness the time has come!

Tyson had to cheat to beat the might of the Buffalo by attempting to break his arm to nullify that neutron bomb of a jab. Tyson was very lucky in that fight.

Lewis was clearly on the juice because he did not take the tess.

It's a minor belt called the World Boxing Federation. Holyfield had it. No idea how he got it, vacated it to prepare for the Poviekin fight and Botha and Grant are gonna fight for this belt.

Grant is gonna wish he was facing a prime Lewis after this one.

I can't wait. I am all sccchhwetty in preparation of watching this slaughter. I have secured everything I need for fight night.

1. Chicken Fingers
2. RC Cola
3. 12' of rubber hose
4. Turkey baster
5. Nylon rope

Yet to be secured for fight night are those darn sugary treats called "Chuckles". Anyone have any leads on them?

I have been so busy recently with unimportant things like work, I have not been able to devote sufficient time to the pre-fight chatter required in this thread. Sure, we could talk strategy. We could also talk about how ObamaCare will affect Michael Grant's post-fight quality of life. But none of that is important right now. What we all need to discuss are two things.

First, will this fight lead to an eventual Klitschko-Botha II (someone bring me some baby wipes quick!)

Secondly, will this fight for the prestigious WBF title shake up the division? I tend to believe it will.

Please discuss. Begin.

P.S- BGv2.0 - I love you man!

This is great news!

Botha weighs in at 20-year low
18 November 2011, 18:18

Francois Botha has, for the first time in 20 years, weighed in at less than 120 kg for a fight.

The South African, who fights American Michael Grant at Montecasino in Fourways, Sandton, on Saturday night, weighed 114.39 kg on Friday.

"Itís the first time in 20 years Iíll come into the ring at under 120kg," Botha said.

"This shows how seriously I am taking this bout and how hard I've trained to put my career back on the map."

The towering Grant weighed 115.24 kg for the bout in which the vacant World Boxing Federation heavyweight belt will be at stake.

RON JACKSON reports that the bill includes five WBF title fights.

In the main bout, former IBF and WBF champion Botha, whose impressive record stands at 48-5-3, with one no-contest and 28 knockouts, faces Grant, an American with a record of 47-4; 35.

Botha, 43, and Grant 39, were both beaten in two rounds by Lennox Lewis for the WBC and IBF heavyweight titles a few years ago.

"The White Buffalo," as Botha is known, made his professional debut on February 11, 1990 with a first-round knockout of Johan van Zyl.

He won his next 11 fights before moving to the United States where he became a highly rated fighter. On December 9, 1995 he outpointed Axel Schulz in Stuttgart, Germany, to claim the vacant IBF belt.

He was later stripped of the belt after testing positive for a banned substance. The result of the fight was changed to a no-contest.

Botha has fought some of the top heavyweights of his time. His only losses were to world champions Michael Moorer (tko 12), Mike Tyson (KO 5), Lewis (tko 2), Wladimir Klitschko (tko 8) and Evander Holyfield (tko 8).

Grant, from Bluebell, Pennsylvania, made his professional debut in July 1994 and went unbeaten in his first 31 fights. He was considered capable of winning one of the heavyweight belts.

However, in April 2000 he was beaten inside two rounds by Lewis. In his next fight he was stopped in the first round by Jameel McCline.

He won 16 of his next 18 fights against ordinary opposition. The losses were to Dominick Guinn (tko 7) and Tomasz Adamek (points 10).

Botha and Grant are well past their best and neither is ranked in the top 15 by the four major organisations.

However, it could be an interesting fight with Botha relying on ring craft to overcome the height and reach advantages of Grant.

Sorry bout the White Buffalo man....So close yet no cigar. Sounds like Grant came back to KO him in the last minutes in a fight he was losing.
