Look, I think the major takeaway is that if a fight is close enough, then several things are in fact being left open to interpretation. I personally had Marquez winning by a round in the Pacquiao fight, but some of those rounds were so close that I can't really fault 2 of the judges for their scores.

Can you make an argument that Castillo beat Mayweather ? Sure. Can you also make a similarly valid counter-argument ? Of course you can.

The bottom line is that neither of the aforementioned fights were robberies. You let it get that close, and thereby you're allowing for the controversy.

This isn't what happened in Lara vs. Paul Williams, which was egregious, or some of the other insane decisions we've seen over the years.

People are entitled to think and say what they will, but let's talk about it like adults. The name calling isn't necessary fellas, we're all fans here.

Thanks. And why would you want to ignore my posts? I make intelligent posts (all if not most of the time). The only thing is I don’t get much time to post these days. Sometimes I would post in one thread and I wouldn’t have time to follow up on the responses. And then I would be back sometime later and there’d be several other new threads… and then I wouldn’t know where to begin again. So again I’d choose another Mayweather thread to participate in.
I wish I could make more posts and contribute more intelligence to the community. Of course I’d post in Mayweather-threads. I’m a Floyd fan. Other fighters don’t interest me much. I wish I could open up a Floyd fan club here or something. Although I wouldn’t expect a lot of other fans out here (in this country that I’m in that is).

I love you (sorry CShels)...That Mike Vick thing! At Virgina Tech they were on him so tuff, they loved the fact that he could run outside of the pocket.... The moment he was drafted to Atlanta, everyone said that he needed to know how to stay in the pocket. This year he stayed in the pocket and now he is all banged up. Mike always had an arm, but he did his damage with his legs. Atlanta did not change the offense for him. The same with Vince Young and McNabb. They had arms but their strength was outside the pocket. The NFL has changed that QBs can't live in the pocket you need a mobile QB. Tim Hypo can't throw and isn't that damn fast. What he has is the all american I love the Lord thing going on. Hey, I am Christian and but I don't think you have beat people over the head with it. And from what people from Florida have told me is that it is an act. I could careless. I know one thing, the moment Denver plays a team that has a good defense and better offense it is over. They changed the entire offense for this kid, and he still sucks! Imagine if Vick had the offense that Frank Beamer gave him in the pros!!!! Rivers needs a great running back. Norv is a damn fool! And the defense is playing lack luster. The Mayweathers logic makes sense since they been around for a long time in the boxing circle and business. I'd rather listen to them than the likes of the others like Harold Lederman, Merchant and even sometimes Stewart when it comes to boxing knowledge and the business of it. Most people don't know shit about boxing about the fact why it was created. It was created for a way to allow soldiers in the confederate wars and civil wars in Boston and other states to release their aggression or to kill time. It was a mans game and you better had the balls to pick up the trash talk you may have laid. Those days it was fight till the man quits or until he is completely unconscious and unable to fight back at all.

Besides Floyd's annoying outburst about how Americans aren't behind him, Rogers hard to comprehend speeches, Floyd Sr.'s absurd statements I think the Mayweathers underneath all the ignorance and bullshit they are some very knowledgeable people who can teach you alot of about boxing and how to survive in the business aspect of it too.

I hope Floyd becomes a commentator since he's complaining (no matter how true) about the fact that boxing isn't as real as it used to be. Him being a commentator and bringing his own style plus first hand knowledge of boxing can make it better. Watching those old Mayweather vids with Smithy and him speaking on boxing showed that Floyd can talk well as long as its about boxing. He knows alot and I would hope HBO jumps at the chance of him being a commentator when he officially really retires.

Cam lit it up! Especially when he played in the Iron Bowl, that come back was legendary. Myer knew Newton was a better player than Tebow which is why he drove him away. Tebow and Myer have the same religious beliefs and well Myer didn't like Chris Leak either so that should tell you something. Tebow is all hype. I promise you this whole craze will end tragically. His teammates are even tire of hearing about how great he is when really it is the defense that plays the biggest part. Vick is a beast since the days of V Tech. Atlanta did not have the right coaches to coach his skill set.

Back to boxing. Mayweather thinks very highly of himself, he has to. The moment he thinks about someone being better than he, he already lost. So he has to be his biggest fan and cheerleader. Which is why he always have people around him telling him how great he is. The reason why he punked Ortiz into being introduced first eventhough Ortiz was the champion, is because he has to feel like no matter what he is king. A lot of what he does is psychological including asking for Manny to take the OSDT. Now he has put doubt in Pac's head, brillant.
