Oh yeah...I agree, the "most obvious" robbery of the year was Williams vs Lara

I dont know what's worse, the incompetent/bias/go-with-the-program judges and their shitty score cards, or Paul Williams's "state of the art" self-assessment of the fight

QUOTE (cshel86 @ Jul 9 2011, 11:42 PM)

Max Kellerman: ..."why was he able to hit you with that shot so easily"?
Paul Williams: Because know what Im sayin', I was bein' lazy in there, you know, I thank if I would've picked it up more and been more fresher know what Im sayin', but, I was just bein' lazy but no excuses, know what Im sayin' he was landin' that punch, know what Im sayin, so. I take my hat off to him, he keep landin' it".
Max Kellerman: "So we're going to be Paul Williams again, no changes, just more of the same, but even harder"?
Paul Williams: "You, you, you said it better than I can say it".
Absolute retard! It was shamefully funny to say the least, plus it added insult to injury with the mindless score cards presented afterwards

An absolute warrant for projectile vomitting!

fighter of the year: Gotta be Andre Ward. Carl Froch had a good year too, and Khan can be argued if he beats Peterson impressively. I would've taken Bernard had the Chad Dawson debacle never happened.
fight of the year: Kirkland/Angulo by a slim margin. Honorable mentions to Maidana/Morales, Rodriguez/Wolak I, Ortiz/Berto, and Lujan/Melligen.
trainer of the year: Can never go wrong with Freddie Roach. Pac is sliding but still winning, Khan and Chavez are on the rise.
promoter of the year: Everyone involved in the super-six. Until TR and GB can get together and make the fights the world wants to see, neither should be applauded. Pacquiao-Mosley was a joke and so was Pacquiao-Marquez- until JMM played spoiler by fighting his ass off.
comeback of the year: Floyd. The ending sucked- not because of what he did, but because we didn't get to see more- but he looked great for four rounds against a younger, stronger guy, coming off an excellent performance. Floyd's so good that he doesn't get held to the same standard as everyone else- people don't give him the credit he deserves for being able to do what he does after such long stretches of inactivity. And I thought he was getting better as the fight went on.
knock out of the year: Gary Russell Jr's last KO was devastating, but the KO OF THE YEAR was Rico Ramos over Shimoda easily.
round of the year: Tied. Berto/Ortiz Round 6 and Kirkland/Angulo Round 1.
upset of the year: Tarver over Green. HM's- Lujan over Melligen, Brewer over Guerrero. Some would say Ortiz over Berto, but I was one of few that felt, going into the fight, that Ortiz was very live.
prospect of the year: Adrien Broner. HM's- Gary Russell Jr., and Ismayl Sillakh
time to retire: Margarito, Mosley, Judah, Chop Chop, Toney, Cintron, Barrera (should've never returned), Holyfield (every year, this category should be named after him), Cory Spinks, Roman Karmazin.
most underrated: Canelo Alvarez. I don't understand the hate this guy gets, other than your typical industry nerds waiting for him to slip so they can scream "TOLD YOU SO!" I'd pick him to beat Cotto right now. Timothy Bradley is extremely underrated too, due to the whole promoter thing.
most overrated: Don't like Rico Ramos. Brandon Rios is also overrated. Exciting fighter, funny guy, but overrated.
robbery of the year: Lara/Williams, no question. That was criminal.

holy fuck...that fight was fucking great...Prescot has alot of talent but goddamn it he just keeps fucking up for some reason ever since his biggest career win against Khan. It's like ever since that Khan win he's been cursed and Khan has been gifted off of it. Talk about a fucking jinx he had that fight in the bag.

Yep! Made Prescott's head flip back like a pez dispenser! No such thing as taking a knee, he had already taken enough and it was too late to turn back

It was a great fight! It should've been a B.A.D. main event, but it did great on the card that it was on.

Just change the trainer of the year to Robert Garcia and the upset of the year to Pac vs JMM 3 but Khan vs Peterson is a runner up.
I think Canelo is overrated and Rios overrated?? pffttt...the dude was weightdrained and had to weight drain himself more and still fought to 12 rounds against a guy with only 1 loss on his record...now thats something...but nonetheless good list up.
