Should be a great night. Actually more excited for the Paul Williams comeback fight than I am to see Cloud, but hey, the more fights the better.
BigFightFan
Just watched ishida vs Kirkland, ishida will not beat Paul Williams.
Cshel86
Damn Cloud just dropped this street lamp-lookin' dude laugh.gif Two knockdowns in the first round! Those straight right down the pipe are landing for Cloud.

Campilla looks lazy, like he wants to go home. Lol
BigFightFan
Now cloud isn't doing shit
Cshel86
Gave that second round to Campillo. He got his legs back and landed some shots on Cloud, that he wasn't supposed to take.

19 - 17 Cloud
Cshel86
Damn this doesn't too good for Cloud, he clearly lost that 3rd round. Campillo is landing his uppercuts and turning that shit straight into a combination. All Cloud has at this point is his straight (if it lands), because he's not able to get on the inside like he usually does at will.

28 - 27 Cloud
Cshel86
The 4th went to Cloud, he was able to set up his shots a bit. Campillo doesn't have much pop to his punches, thank God. Cloud has a cut over his left eye.

38 - 36 Cloud
BigFightFan
I have it even Campillo win the 5 th round
Cshel86
The 5th round could've gone either way, but I gave it Campillo. He's hitting Cloud with a lot of shit, and GLADLY, he doesn't have much pop. This reach is killing Cloud, Campillo lands fuckin' uppercuts from his waistline no2.gif

47 - 46 Cloud...he's losing the lead
Cshel86

+1, they gave the 4th to Campillo, and Im not complaining all that much, though I gave it to Cloud.
Cshel86
I gave the 6th to Cloud, based off of activity, but he's still not able to plant his feet and turn his punches over.

57 - 55 Cloud...close fight
BigFightFan
This is a damn good fight
Cshel86
Cloud is gonna get stopped if he doesn't pull something out of his ass. Those cut are fucking with him, and Campillo's height and reach is killing him.

Gave the 7th to Campillo...Tavoris is getting hit with too much. They are right, those combinations are freezing Cloud, but it's his fault because he just stands there and cover up while Campillo unloads, even if he doesn't land everything.

66 - 65 or 65 - 65...either way...
Cshel86
Cloud is in big fuckin' trouble in the 8th...
Cshel86
8th went to Campillo without a doubt...

Sorry guys, Im behind on points...my math and my rounds are off by one round.
Cshel86
Yet another round lost by cloud...the 9th of course.
BigFightFan
I thought this fight was over in the first, but it looks like we will have a new champ
Cshel86
Gampia has it 86 - 83 Campillo
Cshel86
That 10th round goes to Campillo. It wasn't much going on, but Campillo looks confident and relaxed. As for Cloud, well put it this way, he's the polar opposite.
Cshel86
Alright Campillo , dont be a dumbass. It's clear that you have no pop in your punches, so dont try any dumb exchanges. I gave the 11th to Cloud because of that right hand.

As Gus Johnson said...he got caught with a can-opener. LOL
Cshel86
I gave that 12th to Cloud. Campillo did nothing but run, then tried to rally during the final seconds...

Looks like we will see a new champ tonight. Cloud had no answer for those combinations, and Campillo moved more than Cloud's recent opponents (aside of Yusaf Mack).
BigFightFan
What a fucking robbery! There are a few rounds that could have gone either way but damn
Cshel86
115 - 111 Campillo
116 - 110 Cloud
114 - 112 Cloud

How in the FUCK did cloud win this shit??? Oh yeah, guess we forgot that Don King was there laugh.gif

Cloud's mom fainted in the ring, and I must say, I almost did as well. WTF...only Don King...

Oh okay laugh.gif

Well guys, as we've seen this evening...anything can happen, and the unexpected has happened all night long. So...anybody have Ishaida pulling off the upset against Williams? Another unexpected event could take place tonight...P. Willy could change his fight game up.
BigFightFan
I see Paul getting the stoppage, Ishida is going down. Lol

I second that, but again, the way shit has been going tonight, anything can happen.

"Ima go out there and put him in check, asap." Gotta love P. Willy's interviews...
flazi
campillo is the spanish glen johnson. dude cannot catch a break. i feel sorry for him. Shumenov who he outboxed easily and now cloud.

+1

Besides, if campillo won, what were they going to do with him? (image wise)
Cshel86
Williams hasn't changed shit...what did I expect?

Williams hasn't changed shit...what did I expect?

He leans in and leaves himself open, he will get ko'd by anyone with power and timing
Cshel86
Why did Williams get hurt by Ishida in that round?
BigFightFan
Williams looked hurt in that round
Cshel86
This fight aint supposed to go this long. Paul was supposed to show us the WW Paul, then he can stink it up in his next big fight.
Cshel86
Damn, these ugly faces that Ishida makes in the clinches, makes my stomach turn. It reminds me of the faces that were drawn on my lego pieces back in the day laugh.gif Ishida is still clean and crisp with his punches though...
BigFightFan
Not really what I expected, he should have got ishida out of there. I wish williams would use his height and reach advantage.

Cloud should, but obviously won't give Campillo a rematch. Cloud might learn his lesson and improve, or is he gonna fare the same against other taller boxers who can box? Even though he didn't deserve the victory tonight, hopefully now we'll see him in the ring against the top guys in the division.
Campillo definitely deserves the big matches now, but will the top guys give them to him now?

Williams vs. Ishida? As others have said Williams is still asking to be caught "taking a picture." Definitely should stay at 154 and see what happens against the top guys in that division, but he's on his way out.

BrutalBodyShots
Cloud and Williams both suck. Both are B players in their divisions at this point and have no business in the ring with the A guys. Just my thoughts after watching their uninspiring performances tonight.

Cloud cant afford to look bad against anybody else, but the problem is, he'll have waaaay more challenges after this, because he was exposed in a few ways. At one point, I was almost sure he was gonna get stopped, but thank God Campillo didn't have much power.

Does anybody else agree that Cloud looks like the daddy from Good Times, or am I the only one? He better steam roll his next challenge, which NEEDS to be top opposition, to make us forget about tonight.

As far as Williams/Ishida...P. Willy's got some heavy lifting to do before he spews out the names of Canelo, JCC Jr, etc.

I'd like to see Cloud give this guy a rematch, so that we can see if the few times that he had Campillo in trouble were just lucky moments, or if he just didn't take Campillo seriously. I'd like to see Cloud fight again before I call him a B fighter.
Williams, obviously not the threat that he was and technically is stuck in fourth gear, but I'd also like to see him in one more fight at 154. He showed some decent lateral movement (Ishida didn't impress me, so maybe that's why the movement looked very effective at times) and he also put together some effective punches.

Agreed.

Yup, Cloud definitely looks like John Amos.

I think when he hurt Campilo twice in the first it was a classic case of a guy getting caught cold by a puncher early in the fight. He took similar shots later in the fight that he just walked through once he warmed up to Cloud's power. I think if there were a rematch, Campilo is a little more cautious in the opening round (or two) and makes sure he doesn't get caught with anything real clean.

I call Cloud a B fighter because he showed absolutely zero ability to adjust in the ring last night. He had no plan B at all and didn't show any different wrinkles in his game once he started getting hit up for the last 33 minutes of the fight. He's lucky that Campilo has only stopped 7 of his opponents; had Campilo had a little more power Cloud would have either been stopped on those cuts getting worse or possibly by TKO from taking too much damage. Cloud's defense is also horrible. He was getting hit with arm punches, Street Fighter II style uppercuts from 6' away, etc. He has a LOT of work to do in the gym.
Jack 1000
Terrible verdict favoring cloud. I had Campillo up 9-3. I don't know what that would transcend to with the big first 10-7 round on points. But the Spanish challenger should have had a three point edge or higher. 116-110 Cloud was like Jean Williams giving the first Lewis-Holyfield fight to Holyfield. That card and judge should be investigated.

I gave Ishida two rounds against Williams. Williams looked good, but I question how well he will do against a puncher who may expose his chin again.
