Rd. 3. Perez was bossing it for a while. Maldonado definitely not out of it, but that accidental cut won't help him at all.

Mag keeps his head out there too long, smh...

Perez definitely well ahead on the cards. Almost stopped Maldonado in the 4th, but Maldonado survived. Can he get a 2nd wind? Perez has been killing the body.

Both guys are tired. Even though Maldonado is taking a beating, you never know, he might get lucky.

As they're saying, Perez should bring some body work back into the mix.

Perez looks uncomfortable at this point of the fight....maybe it's just me though. He's letting Mald walk in, and he's not even trying to counter.

Perez should learn from this one. It isn't over yet, but it's his to lose now.

Interesting, Juan Diaz just said that Perez' corner gave him the wrong advice.

Maldo looks gassed, and Perez is just happy about that shit at this point. LOL

Perez clearly has the better jab, but he stopped the combos. The body-head combos were killing Maldonado earlier. I'd watch either guy again.

Maldonado got himself back into this with a surprisingly effective jab, a wacky style, insane guts and Perez taking his foot off the pedal and not completely killing the body.

Two nice straight lefts by MAldonado in a row. Perez landed a nice right (I think ).

The irony..Maldonado sets up the knock down with a body shot!

Rd. 7 - Roman looked like he was the most active in that round. I guess he thinks that the deep waters are starting.

Rd. 8 - Roman is letting his hands go more in this rd., as he did in the 7th. Caballero stopped using the jab and Roman is closing him down more now.

Anyhow, you're right, the first 3-4 rounds were okay, but the rest were poo-poo, in my opinion. At least I had somewhat of a boxing fix until next month...

Don't forget that Abraham/Stieglitz is this afternoon.

I guess Stieglitz is supposed to win. I'm not sure who's gonna take it. That alone makes it interesting.

Based on the first round, as long as Stieglitz doesn't do anything stupid, throws the jab and keeps moving, then he should take this.

Abraham's greatest quality is that he's a bully. Technically, nothing special at all.

Abraham was advancing behind a jab that looks strong. Not bad.
