I figured Broner vs. Guerrero at 147lbs. Was a bit unrealistic at this point though he (Broner) might claim otherwise. Broner even hinted at a clash with Demarco via twitter hoping that he would win the fight with Molina Jr., and now that ended quick, Dela Hoya threw out his own hint posting on his account "Broner vs. Demarco"

Broner SHOULD murder this dude, but I like the match. Would have loved the Guerrero fight more but looks like we'll have 2 wait for that 1.

I'd like to see the Demarco fight. It makes sense, and its at a weight that Broner doesn't have to rush to. Guerrero will learn his lesson at WW, and we'll see him at 140 in no time.

If Broner rushes to 147 to face Robert (who will never seem to get the payday and stardom that he's looking for) and wins or loses, then what? Move back down to LW? Guerrero needs to get bent, and find a meaningful fight the division that he raced to.

Robert the Ghost clearly jumped the 140lb division because its stacked with talent imo. He thinks he can try position himself to get the Floyd shot at WW, and actually thinks that Floyd has depreciated enough for him to get that shock win. I know he's tryna raise the profile an get paid, but why not do it the way guys like Floyd had to. Take out the dudes around you first, can't have ONE fight at the weight an expect to get a shot at the champ when you have like no name recognition. Guys like Floyd and Manny can do that, have ONE or no fights in a div an get a championship shot, they bring a lot of money to the table. Guys like the Ghost, he gotta do a lot more to get that type of pull. The Selcuk win was impressive, but one good win doesn't make you an elite fighter, not forgetting that was only Selcuk's 2nd time fighting outside of Europe. So he wasn't exactly "seasoned" himself.

I might also get him to diss me, and they say "all publicity is good publicity." Then, there's the possibility that he may actually bite and take me up on that challenge. I agree though, plenty of names between 140lbs. - 147lbs. For this guy to try and build his status back up after that canceled fight with Maidana. Aydin seems to be a tough fighter but the general public is unfamiliar with him. It's almost like he did the "fist pump" when he got Broner's attention. The perfect style that mocks Floyd's style, just younger and far less proven. Someone he feels he has more experience over as well as size, so if he were to some how beat Broner it would be viewed to the public as the "PROBLEM SOLVER" to Floyd's style hence setting up a fight between the two. Professor, you're my main man 50 grand, but its safe to say that you're putting way too much stock in Robert Guerrero...you may be one of his few fans. I hate him and Broner equally, and neither have accomplished as much as they think they have.

With that in mind, at least Broner is being reasonable about the guys that he's calling out. Guerrero has made the weight to get a Floyd fight, but his mind hasn't computed the fact that no one knows who he is, and he's yet to have a breakout performance.

It's not because he hasn't been given the chance, it's because he feels that he's too good to take on these guys. Either that, or he feels like they will slow down his journey to big fights. Answer this, even though Broner may have called out Guerrero, what is he actually getting in the way of? What big reasonable plans does Robert have pending? Anyhow, this "title" that you speak of, is non-existent. From what I remember, the WBC never did "interim" titles, like other sanctioning bodies. They more than likely just made that shit up for Robert, because they want another Hispanic champion, since Floyd was on his way to jail, and they had no idea of his plans.

Tarver had some clout because there weren't many people to chose from. There are PLENTY of fighters from 140-147 to fight. Only thing I can give Guerrero is that he's game. But he's delusional, something Tarver was not when he called out RJJ. I like Guerrero but I've never really been sold on him as the type of fighter he views himself as. Tarver was confident and believed in himself when he called out and went up against RJJ. I think Merchant and the gang thought this due to this aura of invincibility that was around Roy at the time, but looking back on it, the writing was on the wall for him to get beat. His run at 175 was never that impressive to me

And that's what I have a problem with, Guerrero is a solid fighter. I like watching him fight, just not at 147. I think the networks are the reason these fighters act the way they do, every fighters goal is to get on TV, then onto ESPN or one of those main event cards, then onto HBO or Showtime and the end goal is PPV. The problem is the 2 big networks pic and choose who they air and who they want to puush and it's usually some "sensational" story behind them

When it's all said and done, I think we'll be talking more about Broner then Robert. I like him and he's a hard nosed fighter but Broner just has that "it" factor inside and outside the ring. If they fought I think due to Broner's age and his activity he'd give the ghost fits.

Demarco is a quality fighter a champion and a extremely strong puncher. This would be a quality win for broner especially for his first fight going up in weight.

after giving this more consideration....i think demarco poses a bigger risk than i initially thought. he's very tall...and he's southpaw. he's dealt with speed and aggression (for the most part) from guys like valero and linares. he was stopped by valero who we know was a pretty big puncher...but he hung with him most of the way and he pulled out the victory late against linares. the only southpaw i've seen broner in with was ponce deleon who is a much smaller guy...and way slow, but he can crack. i stopped watching after five rounds...but i was told broner got all he could handle in the later rounds and many thought he lost to ponce deleon. this is going to be a pretty damn good fight. the more i think about it...the more excited i get.

Demarco is not that much of a puncher. good power not great. it will be interesting but if broner is who they say he is then it will be an somewhat easy fight for him. Valero had his way with demarco and if linares had something resembling a chin and stamina he would have got through with a UD. demarco is too easily hit. I have seen Demarco live a few times and the only thing that impresses me is his never give up attitude.

one thing is for sure....he isn't going out like escobedo. i expect him to lay it all on the line.
