I remember creating this thread a couple of years ago, but cant seem to find it in the archives. Oh well, here it goes again. Lol

I've always wondered why they never air post-fight press conferences on PPV after the closing of the card. I mean seriously, there's usually a time slot from 8pm-2am or something like that...shouldn't we be able to see it, ESPECIALLY since we've already paid for the fight?

Who wants to see a DirecTV logo and some 80's porn music playing, when we could actually be watching the post-fight presser?

I would much rather keep my DVR rolling, and let it record the presser, as soon as the fighters are ready. I believe all (or most) of the fighters on the card, actually speak in the post-fight presser. Correct? Yay? Nay?

Somebody enlighten me on how this works. I'm almost sure that I don't know what I'm talking about. laugh.gif

Interesting...I've never even thought about it before. I usually end up trying to go find it online. I guess paying for the fight...is paying for the FIGHT.

I've felt that way for years! Post Fight press conference is one of my favorite parts of boxing. I thoroughly enjoy hearing a fighters thoughts once the excitement and adrenaline have died out. It's also one of the few moments in which you get to see who they really are more often than not. I'm tired of having to hop on the net right after watching a PPV just to see the Post Fight Conference. Hopefully someone can explain why it gets forgotten like Judy Winslow from Family Matters...

That would be nice, I hate waiting until someone post it to the net. They can also recap the nights action while waiting on the fighters.

Good points!

Seriously though, I hate having to go to the net to see the post-fight pressers. Not only that, but you have endure those stupid video tags, or hear that corny ass rap song at the beginning of Seckbach's videos.

I'm guessing that the views would be better if they kept it on live tv, instead of having some Freddie Roach-type dude holding the camera. I'm inclined to believe that the network would have to stand the chances of having to pay the camera crews extra money...maybe?

Well Cshels good news buddy, Showtime will be showing the post press conference to May Day, and there ain't nothing wrong with 80s porn or the music, they chics were a lot more talented in my opinion!

I think they should show it, I mean that is when the most action happens. Keith Thurman would have been a lot more popular if his encounter with Paulie was seen live. That is a good idea, I love hearing what they have to say. I am curious to hear what Robert will have to say after the fight and his pop. DO you think Papa Mayweather and Papa Guerrero are really going to throw down? That would be great!

They're showing it?! I'm not surprised at this point...showtime has been giving us full undercards on its sister network (Showtime Extreme), so I'm not surprised here! Thankful nonetheless!!!

You're right dude, there's nothing wrong with 80's porn, but I'll leave it at that. Lo.

I think papa Guerrero and Floyd will mouth off to each other after the fight, before the presser, but I dont see them ruining anything before the fight, with there entertaining nonsense. Lol

They are showing it and I can't wait, well if the fight happens. GUNerrro has some other issues he is dealing with. I honestly do not know what he was thinking, I mean his dad can do one handed push ups why do you need a gun when your dad can do one handed push ups?

Great Topic. I always wondered the same thing. Post shit talking. Post ass kicking. I love to see what fighters have to say when it's all said and done. They should make it mandatory. Tired of seeing Merchant or Kellerman be the only ones who get to ask questions, or in the case of Cotto....nobody getting to ask questions lol

Lmao at "GUNerro"!

His court date isn't until after May 4th, so he should be fine in that aspect.

Right?

I'm like, "Fuck, I've already paid money for the damn fight, why not show some post-fight footage, instead of running the cable provider logo?"

Lmao at the Cotto comment! Dude just seems like a sour puss when he declines post-fight interviews. No love lost for him, but dude needs to do something about that.

there was a time when u could find all of that online...now...i don't see it as much. they should make it part of the show. i enjoy all that shit. it's more fun in real life though. being a fly on the wall...hearing all the off the cuff remarks by all involved that doesn't make the video footage. it's all good shit.
