Doesn't matter which weight class he's SCHEDULED to fight in, he'll be 4+ lbs. over the limit.

Promoter: Joan, we need you to fight at MW

Joan: What's the limit?

Promo: 160.

Joan: 165, you say?

Promo: **crumbles up contract**

The few fights I have seen of Guzman, he has been dissapointing. He either wins in a boring way, and/or gets a gift decision. And he is always having trouble making weight. I know there was a time when Guzman used to be exciting, but as far as boxing memories go, for many people, you are only as good as your last fight.

Isn't this nimrod like 0-10 vs the scales? Screw it, they need to count his losses on the scale, as official losses on his record.
xxxxxx
I also enjoyed watching Guzman Box. I remember the Ali Funeka fights and really got into those. If he weighed 148 I don't see a problem with him fighting welterweight which is kind of funny because I remember a boxinqtalk chat like 5-6 years ago and I asked Guzman if he could see himself fighting Mayweather in the future and he said that would be difficult because they are in different weight classes.

First time I saw him on some HBO undercard I thought was seeing a special fighter. Even thought he was going to beat Manny at one point if they ever met, think they were both fighting at 130 or 135 at that point, but this guy has made chicken sh*t out of chicken salad. A promoter booking him for a fight would be the equivalent of booking a rock band for a gig when all the members have a heroin addiction at this point. I hope this guy isn't supposed to be on tv again..

i thought he would beat pac too. i remember valero saying he thought guzman was the toughest fight for him at 130. guzman is brilliant in the ring. there's not denying that. his eating habits leave a lot to be desired.
