A set of "Did you knows" on a paper I'm working on for school. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, or add in something I didn't.

Did you know Pugilism is Boxing's Altered name?

Did you know the modern Olympics first featured boxing in 1904 in America?

All of the boxers were American, 18 in total and there was no Boxing in the 1912 games being that it was banned in Sweden.

Did you know 286 boxers competed in 2012's Olympic games in London, 36 of whom were female?

The first in history to have a full gold medal event for women's boxing.

Did you know the most prolific boxer ever was Len Wickwar?

He had 336 wins, 127 losses.

Did you know Archie Moore has the most consecutive knockouts?

His streak...... 141ko's.

Did you know the most/consecutive KO's in the 1st round was set by Young Otto (Arthur Susskind)?

He had 16 consecutive, 42 in total.

Did you know the shortest world champion was "Baby" Jake Matlala?

He was 4ft. 10inches tall.

Did you know the tallest world champion was Nikolai Valuev?

He is 7ft. Tall.

Did you know the tallest Pro ever was Gogea Mitu?

He was 7ft. 10inches.

Did you know the youngest world champion ever was Wilfred Benitez?

He was 17.

Did you know the oldest champion ever is Bernard Hopkins?

He is 48 and still reigns.

Did you know the most ever title defenses was defended by Joe Louis?

He had 25 title defenses.

Did you know that even if you already knew all this, you still don't know shit about boxing?

I don't think the Archie Moore fact is correct. He had a lot of knockouts but they were not consecutive. He's also been KO'ed by some greats himself, which I find interesting:

Marciano
Floyd Patterson
Ezzard Charles

Yup, you're right. And he actually had 131 KO's which I typo'd. I think the fella with the consecutive streak is LaMar Clark (according to Boxrec). Thanks for the correction.
