So me and my dad were talking boxing the other day. We began talking about Floyd and where he stands historically in the sport. The conversation turned to Roy Jones Jr and his career. My dad then said "Roy Jones had one of the most embarassing KO losses in history when he lost to Tarver." His reasoning was because of Tarver's comments right before they touched gloves. "You got any excuses tonight Roy?" We then began discussing embarrassing losses in Boxing. I thought it was a fun discussion and I wanted to bring it here to get you guys' thoughts. Who had the most embarrassing KO loss in your opinion? Most people say Zab when he did the James Brown shuffle in his loss to Kostya Tszyu. I'm going to go with another one. I'm going to say Simon Brown when he got KO'd by Vincent Pettway and was still punching on the ground lmaooo.

Here's a reminder of the Simon Brown vs Vincent Pettway fight"

Here's Simon talking to his corner afterwards

Probably not the most embarrassing but when Floyd KOed Ortiz that had to be some embarrassing shit. I'd have to go with JMM KOing Pacquiao.

Rahman vs Lewis in the rematch after the Rock talked all that smack about "It's my belt and I'm keeping it" and then at nearly the end of the 4th round, smack-smack thunder and lightning struck with probably the best two piece combo ever thrown that had him on his back and then on his face.

Thats the one. I was SHOCKED that night.

Straight up first time I had ever been shocked by a fight result was that one.

Not me, I heard about the failure of his training camp, he was telling his Trainers what to do instead of the other way around, he was drinking liquor, partying all night plus he had the Givens issue hanging over his head to boot and not to mention his issues with DK and money owed.

Not trained properly and all that other stuff adds up to disaster of which we saw, I was not surprised in the least and betted against Mike in that fight.

Shit, I was like 10 years old. I was just watching, cheering on Mike and then BOOM!

My hero was downed....it was worse than when Hagler lost for me.

I'd have to say Hatton getting flatlined by Manny was etherous...also I enjoyed watching Rahman put Lennox away.....shame on anyone who votes for my boy Zab, and IDGAF what no one says Douglass had that shit in'em laugh.gif dude never fought like that in his life. I hate when people bring that fight up, Mike's corner was garbage though, I could see why he told them what to do lol

That's one of the most devistating Kos ever

Aaron 'The Hawk" Pryor had a few monster knockouts in his career I think should be candidates.

I think that the KO exchange between Lewis and Rahman takes it!

I picked other, because Oliver McCall's famous meltdown in the ring wasn't on the list. You want to talk about embarrassing?

This is exactly why I voted "other" too. Can't get worse than that.

That was a pretty good 2 piece by Lennox but I don't think it was the most embarrassing Rahman KO, I remember him getting knocked out by Maskaev, no way Lennox's was better or more embarrassing then that. I'd rather get KO'd on the canvas then on teleprompterers
Gambit808
I picked other because... Well...

what was more embarrassing was the fact that lennox still didn't do shit. he stood there shook while mccall threw nothing at him. they pulled that dude out of rehab to give lennox his revenge and in my eyes...lennox didn't do shit. oliver knocked his ass out though.

That Oliver McCall situation, till this day, is incredibly sad to me. #1 Because the guy was on drugs and disrespecting himself and the sport. #2 Because he was CLEARLY clinically depressed. You could see it in the interviews leading up to it and, like Tyson, people just cared about him getting in the ring and fighting. #3 Because, after I saw a mini-doc about this fight, I decided to go and look at some more McCall fights. This dude was fucking good. He reminds me almost of Emmanuel Augustus. The distractions will skew history and not tell the whole story. Both guys are really talented fighters with skill.

Anybody remember Nate Campbell in one of the most bizarre endings in his fight against Robbie Peden? In the fifth round Campbell dropped his hands and stuck out his chin in a showboat, offering Peden to take a shot and got KTFO!!!

Yep!

Then he got off the canvas and started weeping like an old lady at a funeral.

Cornelius Bundrage getting KO'd by Sechew Powell and doing his best Zab Judah impression.

Also, Phil Williams KO's Brandon Burke in what I think set the record for the fastest KO in pro history lol Also, Brandon Burke was wearing what looked like Daisy Dukes lol Something you'd expect to see on a chick doing a car wash fundraiser...not a boxer. Not to mention, he sprinted across the ring, right into the punch.

I cant even say it was his best Judah impression. At best, it was the best Bambi On Ice rendition that I've seen in a while. Looked like he was the dummy in a white belt takedown maneuver or somethin'.
