"I'm not everybody else that he faced. I'm a little different, you know what I'm saying? Like I said before, I put people on they back on they face; that's not where I'm going to," stated undefeated pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather, who had a private sit-down with select members of the media immediately following his grand arrival at the MGM Grand. While Mayweather is confident that he's able to go blow for blow in the trenches if he's forced to, he doesn't think the naturally bigger Cotto will be able to make that type of fight. "Cotto is not going to be able to out-fight me, because you look, he bruise, he cuts, he swells, his eyes close, he's a bleeder. I'm not. I'm not a bleeder, so like I said before, if you cut before, you will cut again," he continued.
"I've been tested. Go back and look at the tapes. I've been tested. If I gotta fight on the inside, I will. I've been tested," Mayweather explained. "Basically what I'm saying is this, if you got a fighter, that, okay, myself, if I had to go to war, I can go toe to toe and go to war if that's what I had to do, but I don't have to do that. I think it's so remarkable; the remarkable thing about my career and the coolest thing about me is I can say, 'Listen, I got 16 years, I ain't take no punishment.' And they can say, 'Oh Floyd, well you duck and dodge this guy; you duck and dodge that.' Say what you want to my man, I made a lot of money and I ain't take no punishment. That's the cool thing about my career. Now that's being cool and that's what we teach fighters."
