FightHype.com was on hand as 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach held a conference call to promote the upcoming June 9th welterweight title defense against undefeated jr. welterweight champion Timothy Bradley. "Bradley is a different fighter and, you know, we don't take this fight lightly and we train hard for this fight because we know that Tim Bradley is not that kind of boxer that we underestimate, you know. Tim Bradley is undefeated and he's a champion...I don't know what he's going to bring in the ring on that night, but I'm prepared for whatever he brings," stated Pacquiao and you don't want to miss what else he had to say about Bradley, the fight, and much more. Check it out!
MANNY PACQUIAO
Training is good and we're doing good; I'm excited to fight.
The fight [vs. Marquez] wasn't hard for me, but that fight, you know, we have some problems, family problems.
Moving weight divisions, I had to eat more and in training, I apply the ploymetrics...it wasn't easy for me.
When I commit my life to the Lord, it's about my life, it's not about my job...it will not affect me [in the ring].
We work hard, we train hard...we apply the plyometric training...it's helped a lot. I can give a good fight.
Bradley is a different fighter and, you know, we don't take this fight lightly and we train hard for this fight because we know that Tim Bradley is not that kind of boxer that we underestimate, you know. Tim Bradley is undefeated and he's a champion.
I don't know what he's going to bring in the ring on that night, but I'm prepared for whatever he brings on that night and we expect that he's 100% conditioned, so training now, we studied different techniques, different movements, either boxing or fight toe to toe; we practiced that in the gym.
I'm just doing my best in training, work hard and focus on the fight to give a good fight.
It's going to be a good fight and there will be a lot of boxing in the ring.
