Recently, world-class strength & conditioning coach Alex Ariza took to Twitter to share his opinion on the recent episode of 24/7 Pacquiao/Bradley, which painted a picture that there's been mounting tension in Pacquiao's camp between Ariza and Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach. According to Ariza, however, his relationship with Pacquiao is just fine and HBO's editing department is more concerned with creating drama for the show than actually giving real insight into what's going on with training.
"24/7 is scripted Sh&%t!...Its worst then Jerry Springer, Showtime at lest tried to make it real," Ariza would post on his Twitter page early Tuesday morning. It was the first time that Ariza has commented since the show aired on Saturday, when it was revealed that Ariza was let go by former jr. welterweight champion Amir Khan, he was rumored to be on the outs with middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and Freddie Roach even suggested telling Pacquiao to let him go. With a lot to get off his chest, obviously Ariza's comments did not stop there. Check out what else he posted in response to his followers:
Manny and I are fine, and he signs my check.
They never show Manny training, not once have they been here to track or he's runs, they just what me to talk about Soap Opra BS.
They make it like thats happening now, thats stuff is so old news
24/7 ha, i seen them around maybe an hr or 2 at most
They havnt been to one morning training workout since we got to LA... Not ONE!
At lest they [Showtime] make it real
HBO doing what it does best... Standing around doing Nothing. [Note: Ariza posted a picture of the 24/7 crew to accompany this post.]
Freddie gave the best compliment on 24/7 "Alex is very good at what he does and is a Great Conditioning Coach". Thats all that matters to me
Although he did not get into specific details, it's clear that Ariza was not happy with the way HBO portrayed a situation that even Pacquiao said was being blown out proportion. That being said, Freddie Roach didn't exactly diffuse the problem, as he continued to voice his disdain to HBO. Whether or not there truly is still tension in the camp remains to be seen, but it'll be interesting to see if HBO was justified in mentioning a rumor about Ariza no longer working with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. As previously reported by FightHype.com, that rumor couldn't be further from the truth.
