"Listen, I ain't never, never, never in my lifetime that I've been living, 49 years, I ain't never met a Pakistani that can fight, and I'm being honest to you, and I ain't beating around the bush, and I ain't trying to sound racist or nothing. I'm being honest," stated Angel Garcia, father and trainer of WBC jr. welterweight champion Danny Garcia, who was raw and uncut during an explosive video interview released on RingTV.com. Garcia left no stone unturned as he verbally assaulted Khan, questioning his skills as a fighter due to his race, religion, and the country that he's from.
"This guy never faced a Puerto Rican in his goddamn life, okay? He never faced a Puerto Rican hungry like Danny, okay? And I'm gonna tell you the truth; I'm gonna tell you how it is," an animated Garcia explained to videographer Bill Emes. "Khan's nobody. Who is he? He's a European fighter from Europe, okay? Danny's an American fighter. That's the point; that's the difference, okay? Everybdoy, when Bradley beat Manny, it doesn't matter how he beat him; he beat him," he continued. "They got him on national TV talking about, 'Did you really win'" Who the hell got the god dang champion belt around him? He's got the belt! You gonna question this man? Why? Because he's an American fighter?"
If that wasn't enough, Garcia then questioned whether or not Khan was spiritually strong enough to compete with his son. "Khan, he's hiding behind Roach. He got knocked out in Europe, the truth. You know, his god didn't do it. He got knocked out, and then he came to America and said his god did it. I'm just saying what he said. I don't got nothing against nobody's religion," he added. "It's going to come down to who's stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually, and I know Khan's god already. His god is a punishing god. My god is a loving god, and I'm not ashamed to tell nobody that."
