"I don't know who I am facing September 15th, Sr. or Jr.," quipped middleweight king Sergio Martinez, who was unfazed by comments made by both Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and his father, Hall of Famer and Mexican icon Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., during today's press conference in Los Angeles to officially announce their highly-anticipated middleweight showdown. Wasting no time to respond, Chavez Sr. replied, "If you would have fought me in my time, I would've destroyed you."
To which, Martinez calmly answered back, "We will never now," before warning Chavez Sr., "You better take pictures of Jr. now, because after the fight, you won't recognize him." While father and son do their best to ruffle the feathers of the middleweight king, Martinez knows that come fight night, it won't be a tag team match and Chavez Jr. will have to face him inside that ring all alone, which is exactly what Martinez has been demanding for the past couple of years. Will Chavez Jr. once again prove his naysayers wrong by pulling off the upset, or will it be another marvelous performance for the man known as "Maravilla"?
