"He got a little age on him, but he ain't lost that punch, and that's good for him, but the punch ain't going do you no good if you can't use it. The bottom line is this, I'ma tell you what my game plan is. The game plan is for Devon to go take his gun out of his holster and whoop him with it. That's what the game plan is. On September 8th, Devon's going to take Randall's title and we're going to send him back to Miami with his pants sagging, because he will no longer have a belt," stated world-class trainer Kevin Cunningham, who made it clear that now that IBF welterweight champion Randall Bailey has officially signed to face Devon Alexander, his days of being a champion are numbered. Check out what else he had to say!

BT: What's up Kev?

KC: You know, I just got back from Cincinnati, where I had to look out for my nephew [Adrien Broner] to make sure he handled his business. Now it's time to get my son [Devon Alexander] ready so he can take care of his business on September 8th.

BT: The fight's finally official now that Bailey has signed, right?

KC: Yeah, it's just a matter of where he's going to get this whoopin' at. We're just waiting to find out where the whoopin' is going to take place.

BT: I take it it's not going to be in St. Louis since Randall did sign after complaining about not wanting to fight there.

KC: Nah, it don't look like it's happening in St. Louis, but really, all he did was do us a favor, you know what I'm saying? Now we don't have to worry about all the distractions of everybody wanting free tickets and everybody bothering you; everybody wanting this and that. There's a lot of distractions that come with fighting at home. He [Bailey] said something in the past about getting Devon out of his comfort. Well really, Devon is more comfortable fighting away from home.

BT: Well, he definitely got his wish, but...

KC: (Cutting in) At the end of the day, it don't matter. This dude's gettin' ready to get the beating of his life.

BT: That's what I was about to say about the location. At the end of the day, I didn't really think it mattered. I mean, I think most people would agree that the chances of Bailey outboxing Devon are pretty slim, so he'll probably need a knockout, or at least some knockdowns, regardless of the venue. I mean, he was getting outboxed and down on all the scorecards against Mike Jones and needed major come-from-behind KO.

KC: Yeah, I agree with that. He ain't gonna whoop Devon no way. There probably will be a KO stoppage in this fight and it'll be him getting knocked out.

BT: I take it you've already started watching tape and doing all the research on Bailey then.

KC: Man, we started camp last week. Camp officially started for us last week. We already flew in sparring partners and everything. Like I said, I just took off this weekend to go to Cincinnati to be in my nephew's corner to assist him in handling his business. Just like he just smashed Escobedo, it'll be a similar situation on September 8th.

BT: Randall's been doing a lot of talking, engaging you and Devon in a nice little war of words. Personally, I like seeing that kind of animosity leading up to a fight. I think it hypes up the fight and makes it that much more meaningful.

KC: Yeah, you know, and that's all good. That's all it's all about. To be honest with you, it ain't personal, because the fact of the matter is Randall has a helluva trainer in John David Jackson. He's one of the best trainers out there and Randall has always been one of the most dangerous fighters in the game, but he ain't seen nothing like Devon Alexander in a long time.

BT: Well, no matter how you slice it, Randall's definitely coming to fight and he's coming to look for a knockout, so that means there's going to be fireworks, and that's a good thing.

KC: Oh yeah. One thing's for sure. He got a little age on him, but he ain't lost that punch, and that's good for him, but the punch ain't going do you no good if you can't use it. The bottom line is this, I'ma tell you what my game plan is. The game plan is for Devon to go take his gun out of his holster and whoop him with it. That's what the game plan is. On September 8th, Devon's going to take Randall's title and we're going to send him back to Miami with his pants sagging, because he will no longer have a belt.
