According to reports, IBF welterweight champion Randall Bailey has suffered a back injury that has forced him to pull out of his scheduled September 8th title defense against top welterweight contender Devon Alexander. While the Bailey vs. Alexander clash will be rescheduled to a later date, the rest of the September 8th card will move on as scheduled.
The jr. welterweight clash between Lucas Matthysse and Ajose Olusegun will now be elevated to main event status. No word yet on whether or not another bout will be televised in the co-main slot, however, bouts featuring Ishe Smith and J'Leon Love were set to be televised on Sho Extreme.
