According to an email to announce a press conference next Tuesday, former jr. welterweight champion Amir Khan will be making his return to the ring on the exact same day that WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is also scheduled to make his return. Khan will be facing undefeated lightweight Carlos Molina on December 15 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California and televised live on Showtime. Although Bradley has yet to solidify an opponent, he's currently finalizing terms for a rematch with Lamont Peterson, also on December 15, at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida and televised on HBO.
Originally, it was Khan who was said to have the December 15 date on HBO, however, for whatever reason, the network decided instead that they would rather televise Bradley's next bout on that date. That left Golden Boy Promotions with the decision to either move Khan's date, or simply slide him over to Showtime, where it seems like a lot of the Golden Boy fighters have been appearing lately. Obviously, they chose the latter, leaving fans with another tough decision to make when deciding on which card to watch live come December 15.
