J'LEON LOVE LOOKING FORWARD TO NOVEMBER 3 RETURN TO THE RING

"We just got a date for November the 3rd. November the 3rd in Houston, Texas. No opponent, no venue yet, you know. I'm still waiting to hear back, but as of right now, you know, I'm a gym rat. I stay in the gym. I stay training. Right after we fought, we got right back in the gym and we've just been working ever since," stated undefeated up-and-coming middleweight J'Leon Love, who recently stopped the FightHype Radio show to give us an update on what he's been since his victory last month. Check out what else he had to say about his future plans, working out at the Mayweather Boxing Club, and much more!

On moving to Vegas and hooking up with Floyd Mayweather...

I always wanted to come to Vegas to pursue my dream in boxing, and so, it just took me awhile. I mean, I had to, of course, get the approval from my parents, and finally when they supported me, you know, we just came on out to Vegas; took a couple times to take a trip and get used to the area, looking for apartments, you know, the whole routine of moving and relocating.

When I finally came out here, I was training at a different gym. I didn't really know my way around like that. I just happened to get a call from a couple guys at the Mayweather Boxing Gym to join Floyd's camp to help him prepare for Miguel Cotto. Of course I was excited, you know what I mean? So I went full blast at it. I came to the gym and I had to get in the Dog House, of course, you know. That's your initiation into the gym, you know what I mean, so we got in the Dog House, we handled business, Floyd saw me and was like, "Yo, you can train here at any time, man. Whenever." I just knew this was where I wanted to be.

On the first time sparring in the Dog House at Mayweather Boxing Club...

I mean, you know, I come from a gym with the same atmospher. I grew up boxing at the Detroit Kronk Boxing Gym, so, I mean, it's the same atmosphere. So pretty much, man, you used to it by then, you know? It's just something you do. I do it every day, you know? So it's nothing to be nervous about. Just get in there and do what you gotta do, and, you know, I believe in myself. I didn't let the pressure get to me. I just knew, you know, go in here and handle business; do what you normally do, so, and that's what we did. I'm not too big on letting pressure get to me. I just like to keep a mellow, calm head and do what I do best.

On improving as a fighter and gaining experience from other fighters at the gym...

There's so many great talents here, so many different prospects. You never know who's really coming into the gym on a day to day basis to come get sparring. I mean, it's some of the best sparring around, and I'm definitely getting better each and every day. I'm learning new things, seeing differnt styles, and so on and so forth, so, I mean, I'm getting different looks and it's definitely adding to my game now and helping me progress.

On his next fight...

We just got a date for November the 3rd. November the 3rd in Houston, Texas. No opponent, no venue yet, you know. I'm still waiting to hear back, but as of right now, you know, I'm a gym rat. I stay in the gym. I stay training. Right after we fought, we got right back in the gym and we've just been working ever since

On working with Al Haymon and Mayweather Promotions...

Al Haymon is one of the best in the business; Al Haymon and his staff, you know. It's a huge team and I'm blessed to have them on my side. I think 'em every day. I mean, I thank God for the position I'm in, so shout out to Al Haymon and his staff; everyone around. It's a blessing to have him on my team and I'm just looking to do the best I can in the game.
