CORNELIUS BUNDRAGE: "DON'T BARK IF YOU CAN'T BITE...REST IN PEACE, ISHE"

By David Kassel | December 20, 2012
CORNELIUS BUNDRAGE:

"Don't bark if you can't bite. I'm gonna invite Kid Chocolate to the fight. My whole thing is he may win the war of words, but when it comes to the fight, I'm gonna win that...I read that he said I was gonna have to kill him to win the fight. Well, rest in peace, Ishe...Ishe Smith is just a stepping stone to the boss. I'm definitely still coming for that chin, but I want Floyd next. I know there's somebody in his camp that told me that Ishe has no heart. He's like the Tin Man who has no heart from the Wizard of Oz," stated IBF jr. middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage, who responded to recent comments made by contender Ishe Smith. Check it out!

DK: What's up champ? I see you saw Ishe Smith's interview with Percy Crawford on FightHype in response to what you said. What are your thoughts?

CB: Don't bark if you can't bite. I'm gonna invite Kid Chocolate to the fight. My whole thing is he may win the war of words, but when it comes to the fight, I'm gonna win that. That's what counts the most.

DK: Do you have any bad blood towards Ishe?

CB: Nah, not at all to be honest, but we're fighting each other. It's a fight. I read that he said I was gonna have to kill him to win the fight. Well, rest in peace, Ishe.

DK: What's the deal with inviting Kid Chocolate, Peter Quillin, to the fight?

CB: I see Ishe and Kid Chocolate have a little beef going, so you know, I want Kid Chocolate at the fight.

DK: I gotcha. You said before we started the interview that you were on your way to speak to some kids. Can you tell me about that?

CB: We are champions and we put in that work in and out of the ring. I'm going to a juvenile facility to talk to young people and tell them that all things are possible. I'm not too different from them, but I just made different choices, and they still have time to change. I'll be showing them this DVD of my knockout in the Spinks fight. The next time I talk to kids, they'll be watching me and Mr. Smith. DOWN GOES SMITH! DOWN GOES SMITH! As Dave Kassel would say, "DOWN GOES SMITH!"

DK: (Laughing) That's what's up. Have you thought about after the fight who you want next?

CB: Ain't nothing changed. Ishe Smith is just a stepping stone to the boss. I'm definitely still coming for that chin, but I want Floyd next. I know there's somebody in his camp that told me that Ishe has no heart. He's like the Tin Man who has no heart from the Wizard of Oz.

DK: Any final thoughts champ before we let you go?

CB: These cats are funny. Ishe's interviews put a smile on my face because I'm LOLing all day long. The things he has to say make me laugh out loud. He's gonna have to do more of this lifting weights because whatever he comes with isn't gonna be enough. Try doing 1,000 pushups a day like me and he'll have a better chance to not get knocked out. 1,000 pushups a day, and maybe he won't get knocked out. This ain't MMA though. Don't do the Cory Spinks and pick me up. The Dawg is coming. To all my friends, fans, family, 2013 is our year. Don't let me have to come to Vegas, Ishe. ERRR!
