"I been beating up these world champs, from Pacquiao to Bradley. I have been in several camps and I been getting sent home; Margarito and Ricky Hatton," stated undefeated jr. welterweight contender Karim "Hard Hitta" Mayfield, who is eager to get his shot at a world title. Having worked as a sparring partner for some of the biggest names in the sport, Mayfield is confident that his skills on par with any of the current champions.

"I always get sent home early. To tell you the truth, most of the world champs that got a pieceĀ…I should say I got a piece of them," Mayfield explained during a recent conversation with FightHype's own Percy Crawford. Last weekend, he made his intentions crystal clear when he challenged unifed jr. welterweight champion Danny Garcia in front of several media members in attendance at the post-fight press conference following Floyd Mayweather 12-round unanimous decision victory over Robert Guerrero.
