"I'm really glad to be here. I'm ready. I'm going to be short. I had a great camp, like Freddie said before. I'm ready. I'm just counting the hours to be right here on Saturday night," stated multi-division world champion Miguel Cotto, who kept it short and sweet and the final press conference leading up to his clash this Saturday with jr. middleweight contender Delvin Rodriguez. According to both Cotto and new trainer Freddie Roach, training camp for the fight was one of the best that both men have been involved with.
"I'm going to be focused. I'm going to be sharp. I'm going to be Miguel Cotto; just Miguel Cotto. Freddie, thank you for all you've done in this camp for me, for my family, for my people. Everybody's going to see our work," Cotto continued. The talking is now officially done and all that remains for both fighters prior to exchanging leather on Saturday night is the official weigh-in. Will it be a return to prominence for Miguel Cotto or will Delvin Rodriguez upset the apple cart?
