"Marquez is a smart fighter, man. He's a smart fighter. He's a technician. I've watched Marquez; I'm a fan of Marquez. I love his style. I love how he executes his game plan. He has a really smart corner. He's a counterpuncher; one of the best counterpunchers in the game. He's strong, he has a strong will, comes to fight. He brings it, man. It's gonna be a tough night for me in there," stated undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, who recently spoke to several members of the media just days ahead of his anticipated clash with multi-division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez. Although Bradley has done his homework on Marquez, he still expects a tough fight and understands the challenge at hand.
"This fight with Marquez is going to be very interesting. A lot of people are saying, 'Hey, this is a 50/50 fight. I don't know who I'm going with.' A lot of people are real skeptical on which side they're going to choose or who they're going to go with. I know Marquez will probably be the top dog in this as far as, you know, the betting odds. He'll probably be on top of me, but it's okay. I like to be the underdog," Bradley added, making note of the fact that it's a pick 'em fight that could go either way. "He knows my team. I know his team very well. We know each other. Nacho has seen me fight many times. They know that I have a lot more elements to my game and they know that I'ma be at my best for this fight, so if he expects me to stand there toe-to-toe with him, they're stupid."
