It looks like IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander finally has a date, an opponent, and a venue. According to Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, Alexander will be defending his title against unbeaten welterweight contender Shawn Porter on November 30 in San Antonio, Texas. Alexander was originally expecting to face former jr. welterweight champion Amir Khan at the Barclays Center on December 7, but for reasons that have yet to be revealed, that idea fell through when Khan seemingly changed his mind about moving forward with the fight.
Instead, Alexander will now be fighting one week earlier at a venue thousands of miles away from where he was anticipating fighting. In the co-feature, WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz will defend his title for the first time against Cesar Seda. One can expect to see undefeated jr. middleweight Jermall Charlo, who hails from nearby Houston, Texas, on the card as well. Furthermore, we're told there's a strong possibility that former middleweight champion Jermain Taylor might also be making his return to the ring on the same card.
BE SURE TO CHECK BACK SOON AS MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE CARD UNFOLD
