"I think I made a statement...I felt great tonight, but you can tell he's a lot tougher than he looks," stated undefeated welterweight contender Kell Brook immediately after his impressive 4th round stoppage of former welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko. "Basically, I just felt like I could hit him at will at times, so, you know, but he's a very tricky customer like Ricky says. I'm just happy I got revenge back for me and the fans and for Ricky," Brook explained as he reflected on his performance. "Nothing's going to stop me. I just showed tonight. I just stopped a world-class fighter. Nobody's gonna stop me. I want the best out there. I think I proved tonight that I belong at the top, so bring whoever you want to bring on. I'm ready."
According to his promoter, Eddie Hearn, the "whoever" they plan on bringing to Brook will likely be the winner of the December 7 IBF title clash between champion Devon Alexander and challenger Shawn Porter, but they haven't ruled out some other familiar big names. "Well, on December the 18th, the IBF will send the letters out to the winner of Alexander-Porter telling them they've got 90 days to fight Kell Brook, so, we've been working on a few bits as well behind the scenes. So we've got options, but one thing I'll tell you, nothing's gonna stop Kell Brook being champion," Hearn stated. "It's my job to look at all the options. Now obviously everybody wants the fight between Kell Brook and Amir Khan. You know, Adrien Broner is a fight we'd love to get over as well, you know. The IBF will send its letter; we're mandated to fight the winner of that fight within in 90 days, so, you know, we want to become champion of the world. Kell deserves to be a world champion. He's gonna get there and nothing's gonna hold him back."
