GABRIEL ROSADO EAGER TO HAND JERMELL CHARLO FIRST DEFEAT:

"I signed my contract already. I'm just waiting on him to sign his. Hope he doesn't catch cold feet," stated middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado, who informed FightHype.com that he recently signed a contract to face undefeated jr. middleweight contender Jermell Charlo. The fight is tentatively scheduled to take place on January 25 at the D.C. Armory in Washington D.C. as the co-main event to the jr. welterweight title fight between IBF champion Lamont Peterson and undefeated challenger Dierry Jean. It will be Rosado's first fight back at jr. middleweight since he moved up in weight nearly a year ago to face undefeated middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

Although it's unclear at this point if Charlo has signed his end of the contract, it should be relatively easy to finalize the bout considering that both fighters traded words earlier this month on Twitter. Charlo initially took offense to an offer from his promoter, Golden Boy Promotions, to face Rosado and voiced his opinion on the social media network. Naturally, it didn't take Rosado long to respond. Check out their exchange below:
