"I remember that scrap, man. It was a chess match and it was a grudge match, man. It was high intensity. I mean, you know, he had speed and I had speed. He had to think; I was always on him, you know. He always had to counter; he always had to think in there," stated undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, who recalled an amateur match he had with undefeated super middleweight king Andre Ward. According to Ward, that particular amateur clash has been his toughest fight to date.
"I made guys think. I made guys work, you know. Like I said, it was high intensity, man. He beat me. It was 2 to 1. Andre Ward is a phenomenal fighter, dude. He's a good dude," Bradley continued. "You know, he's one of those good guys in the game, you know what I'm saying. He's clean-cut, you know, real as it gets. He's the man, you know what I'm saying. He's the man. It was a great fight, man. It was a great fight. (Laughing) Yeah, it was a wonderful fight. I like Andre Ward a lot."
