Earlier in the day, undefeated lightweight Terence Crawford scored the biggest win of his career thus far, traveling to Glasgow, Scottland and defeating hometown favorite and former champion Ricky Burns to capture the WBO lightweight title. Crawford put on a boxing lesson, using his superior technical skills to prevent Burns from turning the fight into a brawl. The judges scored the bout 116-112, 117-111 and 117-111, all in favor of Crawford.
