"This is where people are gonna see how Floyd fights as opposed to a guy imitating him. Floyd is the genuine article and he is gonna show the whole world that the comparison is basically just that; it's just a comparison. When you put the two against a common opponent and you get the chance to see the talent between the two, it's not even really close," stated world-class trainer Jeff Mayweather, who made it crystal clear that the comparisons between his nephew, undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd "Money" Mayweather, and former welterweight champion Adrien Broner aren't even close. According to Mayweather, Maidana, fans, and media alike will soon find out that his nephew is on a totally different level than Broner.
"I put it this way, it's the shoulder roll, but it's not the shoulder roll perfecting. At the end of the day that's what it is. When Floyd does it, he takes it to a whole 'nother level as opposed to these guys who are imitating it or trying to duplicate it," Mayweather explained. "Like I said, Floyd is the genuine article and that's what Maidana is going to get. He's not gonna get Floyd's carbon copy or the guy that's gonna be the second coming of Floyd. He's not gonna get that; he's gonna get the real thing. And the real deal, believe me, it's not gonna be nice for him."
