It looks like Rances Barthelemy won't be the only name revealed in the coming days as the latest Al Haymon signing. Recently, FightHype.com revealed that former jr. welterweight champion Amir Khan has already reached an agreement in principle to sign with influential adviser Haymon. Now, sources close to the information have informed us that multi-division world champion Robert Guerrero will also be joining Haymon's rapidly growing stable of fighters, which already includes Floyd Mayweather, Adonis Stevenson, Danny Garcia, Adrien Broner, Marcos Maidana, Lamont Peterson, Lucas Matthysse, Chad Dawson, Devon Alexander, Peter Quillin, Leo Santa Cruz, Gary Russell Jr., Austin Trout, Erislandy Lara, Andre Berto, Sakio Bika, Chris Arreola, Deontay Wilder, and Edwin Rodriguez, just to name a few.
Guerrero is coming off of a losing effort against undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd "Money" Mayweather in a fight that took place back in May of 2013, nearly a year ago. He was rumored to be the frontrunner to land a potential clash with former jr. welterweight champion Amir Khan on the May 3 undercard of Mayweather vs. Maidana, but for whatever reason, that bout will not be taking place. Considering that several of Haymon's fighters work closely with Golden Boy Promotions, one can assume that whatever legal issues that Guerrero had with his promotional company will be resolved in the very near future and his fans can expect to see him in the ring some time soon.
