"I think Miguel should do good at middleweight, especially in his fight against Martinez. Martinez is an injured fighter. He's got a hurt knee, a hurt wrist, among another injury he obtained in his last fight," stated Don Felix Trinidad Sr., father and former trainer of 2014 Hall of Fame inductee Felix "Tito" Trinidad, who shared his thoughts on the highly-anticipated June 7 clash between three-division world champion Miguel Cotto and middleweight king Sergio Martinez. As far as Don Felix is concerned, Cotto will be successful in his attempt to make history by becoming the first Puerto Rican four-division world champion.
"Martinez has mentioned in a few interviews that he hasn't been able to run in over a year, so all of these things piled up really kind of pushes Miguel Cotto to be the favorite to win this fight because Martinez is not gonna be the same fighter and isn't the same fighter that he was just a few fights ago," Papa Trinidad explained. "So I think Miguel Cotto will be fine at middleweight, like I mentioned, especially in this fight against Sergio Martinez!"
