Moments ago, at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska, WBO lightweight champion Terence Crawford kept his undefeated record intact, knocking out former champion Yuriorkis Gamboa in the 9th round after an action-packed affair. It was give and take action early on as both fighters were able to connect with solid shots. It seemed like it was Gamboa who was getting the upper hand in the early rounds, but when Crawford switched his stance to southpaw, however, he quickly changed the fight around when he was able to land a counter right hook that dropped Gamboa for the first time in the bout. Although Gamboa was able to recover and continue fighting back, two more knockdowns followed before a devastating right uppercut put Gamboa down for the fourth and final time of the fight.
