PC: Congratulations on your 3rd round TKO win over Joe Vedepo. How do you feel?
KM: I feel good, man. I just had to go out there and do what I had to do. I had to break him down and get him out of there and that's what I did. I wanted to stand with him more, but he was kind of wild. I seen how wild he was and how he kind of ducked his head in, so I was like, "You know what? If he keeps coming in wild like that, he's gonna headbutt me and hit me with something and the ref might not see it," so I decided to keep my distance a little bit, work my way into takedowns and ground and pound him, and then towards the end, stop him somehow and that's what I did.
PC: You told me when we spoke before the fight that once the bell sounded, you didn't feel he would show you any respect. He was definitely there to fight you.
KM: Yeah man. He was one of them tough boys from Iowa. They don't show no respect. They take it to you. And I knew that's what he was gonna do, so I got prepared for everything.
PC: Once you started to bust him up in the 1st round, did you feel him breaking or did you feel he was strong all the way until the stoppage?
KM: I felt him breaking after the 1st round. I was just chipping away and kind of started to break him down and started hitting him with some good shots. It felt like he was starting to melt away in the 2nd round.
PC: Did you go into the fight without a game plan because you didn't know much about him or were there things you had in mind that you wanted to do in there?
KM: I really didn't have much of a game plan. He wasn't hitting me, so I was just letting it all flow; that's all I was doing.
PC: The size difference was apparent once the fight got in close quarters. Did you also feel way stronger than him while grappling with him?
KM: I felt way stronger than him. I feel stronger than most people I fight. I felt like I was able to do everything that I needed to do.
PC: He really didn't give you much time to feel him out. He came right at you. So instead of trying to figure him out, it was more of reacting to what he was doing?
KM: Exactly. I didn't have to think because he came right at me. I really didn't have much time to think. When he came at me, it was like, "Okay, let me see what I can do against his aggressiveness."
PC: Was there anything about him that surprised you?
KM: His toughness did for sure. I beat him up and he just took it. He was there till the very end.
PC: You said after the fight that you were telling him how tough he was. Was there any other convo or you never talked to him again?
KM: Nah, I ain't talk to him at all after I talked to him in the cage. I just told him he was tough and I thanked him for taking the fight and he will be back, man. He's tough and fights hard, so he'll be back.
PC: You have been saying you want Tito Ortiz next since your win on Saturday night. Is that the fight that makes the most sense for you right now?

PC: Quinton actually tweeted something about you Saturday saying he's not retired and Mo just doing what he does best, running his mouth.
KM: Okay, if he not retired, why we ain't seen him? If he ain't retired, why wasn't he at the fights? He think he such a big star, people care what he doing. He can get it too. He said he wanted to fight me and wanted me to give him a rematch, I'm here.
PC: Your next fight will be your third fight since the Quinton Jackson fight. He hasn't fought since or even talked about fighting since.
KM: Yeah! The thing is, he ain't trying to fight me.
PC: What sparked the Tito Ortiz thing? Just him telling you to get in line, you felt disrespected?
KM: We were at the Dave & Busters thing about a month ago in New York and he was talking about, he wouldn't fight me because I wouldn't do nothing for his career and I lost to Quinton and all this shit. I didn't say nothing to him because he had the Bonnar fight lined up, so I didn't say nothing, but then he started talking shit about me saying he thought I lost to Quinton and this and that. I didn't have any knowledge of this until somebody told me this shit. My boy watched a video of him saying it and hit me up and then my home girl Cali from France sent me a picture from his Instagram with two gorillas fighting talking about "Quinton vs. Mo part 2." So this motherfucker wanna crack these jokes. But again, I didn't say nothing because him and Bonnar had beef. But when it was time for me to say something, I said what I had to say. Tito or Quinton don't want none.
PC: When are you trying to fight again? Do you want to be on the January card or you want a little break?
KM: It's up to Bellator to decide what I do. I'll be ready whenever they need me to be.
PC: You dedicated that fight to 3 people after your fight. I wanted to give you a chance to put it in ink before I let you go.
KM: Oh yeah man, shout out to my boy TC Dantzler, he had a stroke the week of my fight, Emmanuel Augustus is recovering from being shot in the back of the head, and my dog Skyler Holman, rest in peace. He died from cancer and he used to wrestle at Oklahoma State.
