Moments ago at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, former jr. welterweight champion Amir Khan scored a 12-round unanimous decision victory over former welterweight champion Devon Alexander. The action was back and forth in the early round, with both fighters landing their share of shots. By the middle rounds, however, the faster hands and combinations of Khan began to take over.
Although Alexander still had a few good moments, it was Khan who was busier and landing the more telling shots. Khan started to have his way in the later rounds as Alexander simply couldn't avoid the combination punching. In the end, the judges scored the bout 119-109, 118-110, and 120-108, all in favor of Khan.
