Heavyweight contender Amir "Hardcore" Mansour returns to the ring on May 8th when he headlines ESPN2 Friday Night Fights. Mansour's opponent is tentatively scheduled to be Joey Dawejko, pending a successful outing on March 6th against Enobong Umohette. Mansour, who will be ringside for Dawejko vs. Umohette, revealed that he's already been scouting Dawejko.
"I've watched some of his fights already. I'll be ringside for this March 6th fight. I'm taking this very serious," he commented during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. Mansour also expressed excitement about being on ESPN, stating, "I've always had respect for ESPN because they are one of the only networks that have stuck by boxing throughout the years."
