"Brandon Rios will be back before the end of June," stated Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum, who gave us an update on the future plans of welterweight contender Brandon Rios. The former lightweight champion, who is fresh off of an impressive 3rd round stoppage of Mike Alvarado, recently made it clear that he hopes to return to the ring as soon as possible. Although Arum did not mention a specific date, he did say that Rios will likely be fighting a high-profile name.
"We're looking at a number of fights for him. Let's see what falls into place. He can fight maybe Bradley; he can fight Cotto. You know, he's a very exciting fighter," Arum added. Those options should sound perfect to Rios, who also expressed interest in fighting both Timothy Bradley and Miguel Cotto, as well as Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez.
