FightHype.com recently got a special invite to the Mayweather Boxing Club to get a firsthand look at how training camp has been going for undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather. He wasn't kidding when he informed us, "training camp has went tremendous." Although it's only been four days into camp, FightHype.com can confirm that Mayweather is already stopping sparring partners.
By all accounts, the eleven-time, five-division world champion is more serious and focused than ever before. The gym is on lockdown to all media. No video recording devices of any kind are allowed on the premises while he trains. Although most of the familiar faces from his team and family are still in attendance to show their support, the gym isn't quite as packed as it's been at times in the past, which is a good thing considering how hot it can get in there.
With 8 weeks still left to go before the fight, you can expect Mayweather to get even better, sharper, and stronger as he continues to push himself to the limit in training camp.
