"I never have a real, real amateur career...I grew up in boxing...my father have fights in the garage with other guys...he'd pay 100 pesos for one round...I couldn't say no...I had to fight," stated former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who explained that despite the lack of amateur career, he had plenty of experience fighting thanks to growing up in a boxing family as the son of a Mexican legend.
